LANDMARKS COIVIMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MEETIleTG NYINUTES OF MAY 10, 2010 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. in Council Chambers and Mr. Dubowski <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: Tom Dubowski, Maryellen Davis, Dale Thomas, Paul Schumann, Albert Richner, <br />David Neville, John Lasko <br />Absent: Don Rerko, Mark Mahoney <br />Staff: Secretary Tricia Granfors <br />REVIEVV AND CO1tRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Dubowski moved, seconded by 1VIs. Davis, to approve the Apri112, 2010 minutes, <br />whieh were unanimously approved. <br />OLI) BUSINESS <br />Rules of Procedure <br />Mr. Schumann reported changes proposed at the April meeting concerning the Chairman's duties <br />and Committees have been incorporated into the Rules of Procedure. The final draft is ready for <br />approval. Pertaining to Article II, Section 10 - Executive Session, Mr. Dubowski suggested <br />executive session procedure be further explained for the benefit of commission members. The <br />purpose of the Rules of Procedure document with regard to adding detailed language and/or <br />references was discussed. It was agreed that a request would be made to the Law Department to <br />provide the Commission with guidelines on executive sessions. <br />Mr. ltichner moved, seconded by Mr. Neville, to approve the revised City of North Olmsted <br />Landmarks Commission Rules of Procedure, which was unanimously approved. <br />Certified I,ocal Governffient Grant <br />Per Director Wenger, Mr. Schumann reported the grant application was not successful. A copy <br />of the Ohio Historical Society letter and Ms. Wenger's response has been distributed to <br />Commission members. There may be another application cycle this fall. Ms. Wenger is <br />following up with the Ohio Historic Preservation Office to determine if we can make changes to <br />our application that would make our project score more competitively. <br />Ohio Historical Markers <br />Delivery of the Unitarian marker is expected after May 14. The Service Department will install <br />the marker before Memorial Day. Mr. Thomas reported the church is planning on hosting a <br />dedication event on May 30 in the early afternoon; no additional information has been received.
