Mr. Richner will research the issue. <br />With regards to house colors, Mr. Schumann is not clear on City Building Department <br />procedures when a Historic District resident inquires about permits. Perhaps language could be <br />included to invite or strongly recommend Butternut Ridge Road homeowners to discuss color <br />selection with the Commission without making it sound like a requirement the law does not <br />support. The U.S. Department of Interior rehabilitation standards include color palettes. <br />Technically, the proper way to perform a restoration is to use the same materials and colors. Mr. <br />Richner feels that color choice is an important issue in the district and that guidelines should be <br />available and communicated.
