questioned how the new parlcing island users would get to the building without sidewalks.
Pedestrians will be wallcing in the new parlcing area which is also the main ingress/egress points
as there are no sidewallcs along the drive. A brief discussion ensued pertaining to the pedestrian
traffic access to sidewallcs and buildings. Mr. Bohlmarul questioned the depth of the parlcing
stalls and Mr. Kuehnle said that the depth is 20 feet on each side. Ms. Wenger believed that as
the pedestrian traffic crossing will be with the flow of traffic it would be no different from mall
parlcing. It was noted that angled parking is safer than perpendicular parlcing.
Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Rerko, to approve the proposal for C1VIS10-23
Technology Park; PPN 236-13-005 & 008, O11 with the following conditions:
1. Callery Pear trees planted at a minimum of 2%z inch caliper
2. Dlylilllies, junipers and giā¢asses elch planted minimum 3 gallons; roses planted
minimum 5 gallons.
The motion was approved 5-0.
CMS10-24: Clearwire; 4930 I)over Center Road
Representative: John Sindyla
Ms. Wenger said the proposal is to install three wireless telecommunications antennae and three
inicrowave dishes on the water tower. The water tower is owned by City of Cleveland Water
Department, but the property is owned by the City of North Olmsted. It is somewhat similar to
the Clearwire's collocation on the AT&T tower in Clague Park, the City will enter into an
agreeinent with the tower owner to allow for the installation and receive rental income. The
anteruzae are proposed to be installed on the existing handrail surrounding the tanlc walkway at a
mounting height of 120 feet. Ground equipment is located on a platform at the southwest corner
of the property surrounded by chainlinlc fence. No additional screening is proposed, which she
recommended be required to buffer the residential property to the west. She request the
applicant describe how the equipment will be accessed/serviced including where vehicles will be
parked. Mr. Mitchell said he agreed that the ground mounted equipment should be screened.
Mr. Sindyla said for security their equipment area must have a separate access from the water
tower equipment. They looked at adding a curb cut but there is not enough room for a driveway
however they would be open to installing a driveway. The truclc will parlc along the street once a
month, unload their equipinent onto the public sidewallc then access their entrance walkway.
They can not have access to the Cleveland Water Tower tanlc area. This would be the same as a
service truclc in residential area they would place cones around the truclc while working. He does
not object to installing the screening but they are very close to the property line so he will have
to wait until the survey is completed. The sidewalk is being installed along the property line.
Ms. Wenger said the residential property is to the north which needs to be buffered. Mr. Sindyla
said he could install wood, vinyl or place slats in the chainlinlc fence. Ms. Wenger objected to
installing slats and parking in the street along Mill or pover Road.
Mr. Mitchell suggested relocating the equipment area to either the northeast or southeast corner
of the lot along Dover Center Road were the maintenance could parlc in the existing driveway.
The 8'x 8' space could be fenced out so access is separate for the tower and the equipment. Ms.
Wenger said that she would not object to moving the equipment area to the northeast side of the
2
