Ms. Wenger said during the staging of the proposed work to the tower the <br />applicant could aslc the plaza to the north if they would allow their vehicle to park at their site. <br />On street parlcing will not worlc and the proposed area is close to the residential homes with no <br />screening. Mr. Sindyla said he would be opened to the commission's suggestion. He asked to be <br />tabled so he could discuss the issue with Cleveland Water. Mr. Parry aslced the applicant show <br />the proposed equipment and all future equipment as there will be additional carriers and having <br />Cleveland Water present as well to discuss their upcoming project. The city could end up with <br />not one but five truclcs parlced in the street doing work. The changes are results from relocating Saab, Lotus, Fislcer, and Spyker brand <br />vehicles to the facility rather than Sprinter. The building changes involve refacing the north <br />elevation with white spandrel glass. Minor changes will be made to the other building <br />elevations. The Sprinter proposal included building eleinents and awnings that projected into the <br />fi-ont building setbaclc. However the new proposal will remain within the existing footprint. The <br />masonry areas listed to be painted need to be clarified as to color and material used. Signage <br />will be modified for the new brand and will not require variances. <br />Mr. Mitchell said building pennits were issued far parlcing lot expansion, curb-cuts, landscaping, <br />water retention and lighting plans. Variances were previously approved for the front setback of <br />the building, however clarification of the new columns are needed. <br />Mr. Broolcer said the exterior modifications which were approved for Sprinter do not fit the <br />branding for Saab, Lotus, Fislcer, or Spyker. The new plans are a simple contemporary change to <br />the front fagade wrapping the windows around the front corners. The new windows will be an <br />anodized aluminum frame with an opaque white glass and the existing window frames will <br />remain bronze. The paint for the sides and baclc of the building which has a combination of <br />ntsticated bloclc styles will be simplified by painting the block a medium gray color. The front <br />of the building baseline below the windows will be a synthetic stone material which has yet to be <br />deterniined but will be a vertical scored flat bloclc. Signage includes replacing the existing <br />ground sign with the relocated Saab ground sign. There will be a new internally illuminated <br />Saab sign which will be suspended aUove the entrance. The west elevation will have new <br />windows and the overhead service door will be replaced with an aluminum glass vehicular <br />entrance as will the east elevation.
