BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 3, 2011 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Ms. Sergi called the meeting to order at 7: 30 p.m. in Council Chambers. <br />Present: Nancy Sergi, Maureen Diver, Jennifer Rudolph, Laura Bellido, Alfredo Lopez <br />Staff: Law Director Michael Gareau Jr., Building Commissioner Dale Mitchell, Clerk of <br />Commissions Donna Rote <br />ELECT CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR <br />Ms. Rudolph nominated Mrs. Sergi to serve as Board of Zoning Appeals Chair for 2011, <br />seconded by Mrs. Diver, which was approved 4-0. Mrs. Sergi abstained. <br />Mrs. Bellido nominated Ms. Rudolph to serve as Board of Zoning Appeals Vice Chair for <br />2011, seconded by Mr. Lopez, which was approved 4-0. Ms. Rudolph abstained. <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Mrs. Diver, to approve the minutes of December 2, 2010 <br />which was approved 5-0. <br />RESIDENTIAL APPEALS AND REQUESTS <br />Michael Isabella; 4199 Clague Road: <br />Request for variance. Proposal consists of a fence; the following variance is requested: <br />1. A variance for fences/arbors higher than 30" in front yard; code permits 30", applicant shows <br />10' - 12', section 1135.02(F)(1). See note. <br />Note: Structures are preexisting and were installed without a permit. BZA tabled 12/2/2010. <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Mr. Lopez, to postpone the request of Michael Isabella of <br />4199 Clague Road until the meeting of March 3, 2011 which was approved 5-0. <br />COMMERCIAL REQUESTS <br />Ostendorf-Morris Comp (Agent) PPN 236-18-007 <br />Request for varianoe. Proposal consists of a temporary real estate sign; the following variances <br />are requested: <br />1. A 36 square foot variance for a temporary ground sign larger than allowed; code permits 12 <br />sq ft per sided, applicant shows 48 sq ft per side, section 1163.34 (b)(1)C. <br />2. A 6 foot variance for a temporary sign higher than allowed; code permits 6 ft, applicant shows <br />12 ft, section 1163-34 (b)(1)D.
