LANDMARK,S COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTEI) <br />MINUTES FOR lo'IAX 9, 2011 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers and Mr. Dubowski led <br />the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: David Neville, Dale Thomas, Albert Richner, Tom Dubowski, Maryellen Davis, <br />Paul Schumann, Robert Parry <br />Absent: Don Rerko <br />Staff: Director of Planning and Development Kimberly Wenger, Clerlc of Commissions <br />Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Neville moved, seconded by Mrs. Davis, to approve the April ll, 2011 minutes as <br />amended which passed 6-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Speaker Series <br />Mr. Schumann said on July 31St there would be two speakers at Frostville. One will be doing a <br />history of the Nickel Plate Railroad and the other will be an antique clock lecture. Also on May <br />21 and 22 there will be a French and Indian War Encampment and Presentation which will <br />include battle scenarios. There will also be a military timeline May 22 which will include <br />Lincoln speaking from the Prechtel House porch and re-enactors from the Revolution through <br />Korean War. Mr. Thomas said the speaker has many authentic war items which he displays. <br />Mr. Schumann will send the office information about the speaker series so it can be posted on the <br />web site and flyers sent out. Ms. Wenger said she would be interested in discussions with the <br />spealcers for homecoming. <br />Desianation of Landmarks <br />Mr. Richner said he had been going through documents at Frostville archives and has discovered <br />many interesting facts about the Biddulph family. Ms. Wenger said she sent an outline to the <br />members which had headings to give the committees a place to start their reports. She would <br />like the committee to have some benchmarks as to dates they are looking to be ready to submit to <br />the commission as a whole for review. Once the commission has finalized the report it will be <br />sent to the Planning and Design Commission then to Council. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Butternut Historic District Survey
