Mr. Meslat said he is relocating his business from Westlake. Once he leased the North Olmsted
site the building department advised him of the property maintenance issues. He and the other
tenant have been worlcing hard to bring the site into compliance. His business is light auto body
repairs such as windshields and headlights but no heavy repairs. The shop is not equipped for
painting nor will it include painting; most of the work will be mechanical repairs. Mr. Bohlmann
said the plans suggest the city will provide garbage disposal service however it is the applicant's
responsibility to hire a disposal service. The split rail fencing along the east and the rear fence is
in poor condition and should be repaired or replaced. Mr. Mitchell said the owner and applicant
are aware the fencing needs to be addressed. Mr. Bohhnann felt the commission should include
the condition that painting inside or outside is prohibited at the site. The commission reviewed
the conditional use standards found the use would be in conformance with the provision that
painting indoors or outside is prohibited.
Ms. Meredith moved, seconded by 1VIr. Rerko, to approve a conditional use permat for
CMS11-15: Auto Body & Mechanic of 25044 Lorain Road with the condition that painting
indoors or outdoors is prohibited on the premises, which passed 6-0.
COMMUNICATIOIVS
Ms. Wenger said she received notice that the City was successful in its CDBG application for
Country Club Boulevard Streetscape in the amount of $350,000. The streetscape improvement
will include the median between Lorain Road and Victoria Lane. Mr. Bohlmann suggested the
islands have rolled curbs when replaced so snow plows don't damage them.
1VIs. Meredith moved, seconded by Mr. Malone, to excuse the absence of Mr. Parry, which
passed 6-0.
ADJOURNMEN'I'
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm.
Melissa Meredith, Chair )D?a ZRote.,,-Clerk'o'f Commissions
D
Ap ove
