ROLL CALL: <br />Mr. Tallon called the meeting to order at 7:40 P.M. <br />Present: R. Tallon, K. O'Rourke, S. Asseff, T. Brennan, and W. Spalding. <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director, J. Dubelko, City Engineer P. Deichmann, Assistant <br />Building Commissioner T. Rymarczyk, and Assistant Clerk of Commissions Rote. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: R. Tallon moved to approve the June 23, 1998 <br />minutes as written. The motion was seconded by K. O'Rourke, and unanimously approved. R. <br />Tallon moved to approve the July 14, 1998 minutes as written. The motion was seconded by T. <br />Brennan, and urianimously approved. <br />III. BLTILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Wellington Place (Assisted Living) <br />Location is on the south side of Brookpark Road, west of Clague Road and north of Mastick <br />Road. Property fronts on Brookpark Road, Clague Road, and Mastick Road. <br />Proposal to construct senior housing facility. Heard by Planriing commission June 09, and 23, <br />1998, and Architectural review board on July 22, 1998. <br />Mr. Tallon called Wellington Place forward to submit their proposal. Mr. Bower asked if <br />Wellington could be moved to the back of the meeting as Mr. O'Neil had not arrived for the <br />meeting. <br />R. Tallon motioned to move Wellington Place to the back of the agenda. The motion was <br />seconded by K. O'Rourke, and unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Bower suggested the requests from the Planning commission, Engineering department, and <br />the Architectural review board have been incorporated into our plans. We have also had our <br />engineer discuss the water retention issue with the City's engineering department, which you had <br />requested us to do at the June 23, 1998 meeting. We have incorporated the recommendations <br />made by the Architectural review board, which these plans before you tonight show. Chuck <br />McGettrick is here tonight to review the changes that we have made. Mr. McGettrick asked the <br />board members to look at page SP-1 of the new site plans. We have created a more informal <br />retention basin at the request of the Architectural review board. We were asked to do a 40% <br />above grade storage, and a 60% underground storage. If there are specific questions regarding <br />the retention issue Mr. Crawl from Civil Tech. is here to address your questions directly <br />pertaining to the retention pond. We have also added additional landscaping around the <br />retention pond that was requested. We selected a black aluminum fence that gives an appearance <br />of being rod iron. The retention basin has two aerators and there are brims that have been <br />1 '
