ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman R. Tallon, Commissioners, K O'Rourke, R. Koeth, D. Cameron Alston, <br />and W. Spalding. <br />Absent: Commissioners, S. Asseff, and T. Brennan <br />Also present: City Engineer Deiclunanu; Build.ing Commissioner Conway and Assistant Clerk of <br />Commissions Rote. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTiON OF MINUTES: <br />R Tallon moved to approve the minutes of 7une 9, 1998, seconded by K. O'Rourke and <br />unanim.ously approved. <br />Mr. Tallon announced the board was going to change the order in which the cases would be <br />heard We will address new developments and subdivisions first. <br />III. BUII,DING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1). Wellin on Place Assisted Livingl <br />Location is on the south side of Brookpark Road, west of Clague Road and north of Mastick <br />Road. Property fronts on Brookpark Road, Clague Road, and Mastick Road. <br />Proposal to construct senior housing facility. <br />Mr. Tallon read allowed the Wellington Place request and called all interested parties forward. <br />Mr. Bower came forward to address the suggestions that were made at the June 9, 1998 <br />e, <br />Planning commission meeting. We have taken your comments and have incorporated them <br />into some revisions to our plans. Our goal is to keep the development residential in nature. <br />We have addressed the landscaping issue, along with the storm water detention. We believe <br />we have come up with a nice compromise, it is a combination of above ground, and below <br />ground retention. The above ground retention which is permitted in Mu1ti family as a <br />landscape feature, as well as the underground storage which is provided for under code. Mr. <br />Bower introduced each of his representatives by name and title to the board members, and <br />stated they would answer all questions to the best of their ability. Mr. Bower requested the <br />board members allow Wellington Place to be sent on to the Architectural review board <br />meeting scheduled for July 22, 1998 which would be their next step. An unidentified member <br />of the audience stated the May 26, lot split and consolidation plat meeting was held illegally <br />because of improper notification. Therefore Wellington Place should not be addressed until <br />the lot split and consolidation plat is redone. Mr. Tallon informed the audience member that <br />the commissions office would check into the legality of the lot split and consolidation plat, but <br />this is a different issue therefore Wellington will continue to present their proposaL Mr. <br />McGettrick took the floor and stated he would be covering the four areas of concerns the
