were considered part of the signage they might not want to use the logos. Mr. Alpine indicated
Norvvalk Furniture wanted to use the logos. Mr. Liggett strongly suggested that city should look
favorable upon Norwalk Furniture's sign package as he felt that it was one of the better ones he
had reviewed. Mr. Rymarczyk indicated it was only a couple of feet off if you go with the 12" by
12" logos which in the overall scheme is not much. Mr. Alpine indicated the wall sign comes out
to 74' square feet and if the logos are 12" by 12" they would be at 80' square foot and the city
allows 75' square feet which means they would only be 5' square feet over. Mr. Rymarczyk
inclicated to Mr. Alpine they need the size of the logos verified to which Mr. Schill indicated they
will be the 12" by 12". Ms. Schulz indicated if they wrap the canopy around the east side of the
building they may want logos on that side also. Mr. Yager questioned Mr. Ryxnarczyk as to how
they could make their recommendations? Do they table and make the adjustments and come back,
what would be the appropriate action? Mr. Rymarczyk suggested they have Mr. Schill work with
someone on the Architectural Review board to make the changes before the next Planuing
Commission meeting. Mr. Schill questioned for clarification, whether he would have to return to
the Architectural Review Board? Mr. Yager indicated the commissioners did not feel it was
extreme enough for Norwalk Furniture to come back. They would assign someone to work with
him so he wouldn't miss any time slots in other arenas. Mr. Liggett volunteered to work with Mr.
Schill.
M. Yager motioned to approve this proposal with the following comments that the E.I.F.S. shall
wrap around to the 25' foot east side facade; that the east side facade incorporate a window
opening and canopy consistent with the front facade; all the paint/stain be removed from the
project; and the front facade incorporate the appropriate projection as determined in some studies
with Mr. Tom Liggett. It would be Mr. Schills responsibility to get that information to Mr. Liggett,
not Mr. Liggett go to Mr. Schill. The signage be approved as submitted, the logos 12" by 12" and
a logo on the east side facade as well. Seconded by T. Liggett and unanimously approved.
Note: Assistant Clerk O'Connell has contacted Mr. Schill requesting color numbers, samples of
materials being used, as well as the manufactures name. As of this date she has not received an
answer to her request.
VI. ADJOURNMENT: M. Yager moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by I{. Schulz and
unanimously approved.
Meeting adjourned at 6:20P.M.

, Acting Chauman K. O'Connell, Assis'tant Clerk of Commissions
4
