.
,?
,d )' ; '
O'Connell on June 3, 98 and asked if there would be any problems at this meeting getting the
logo approved. , Mr. Rym.arczyk statied it is a problem to begin with because it is in violation of
the code right now. Mr. Murphy apologized and stated there was a confusion on the part of lus
foreman and it would be corrected. Law Director Gareau suggested the board order Gateway to
remove the rear sign and address the variance at the same time. Mr. Murphy stated the new
sigvs would be smaller in size and would conform to the variances that had been granted. Mr.
Goinersall reviewed the three signs and where they would be placed. Mr. Murphy presented
photos of the new signs that would be used so the board members could see a finished look. Mr.
Gomersall comynended Gateway for doing such a good job on cleaning up the building.
R. Gomersall moved to grant Gateway, 26103 Lorain Road a request for variance (1123.12).
To use the logo as shown, conditional on changing the sign on the back of the building to
conforin as it is suppose to. The motion was seconded by J. Maloney and uuanimously
approved, Variance Granted. Note: In the framing of the motion it was agreed that the.-Fear
sign would be removed when the new sign is put in place.
13. Dave aud Donna Pedlex 27241 Nantucket Drive
Request for variance (1123.12).
Request an 8 foot rear yard variance.
Note: Average depth was used in cornputing tlus variance request.
Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08 (B).
Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was admuustered to
Dave Pedley, and Donna Pedley. Mr. Gomersall reviewed the variance being asked for and
stated because your property backs up to 480 I don't see a problem with this at all. Nlr.
Gomersall ask if the board members had any further questions. No fiuther questions were asked.
J. Konold moved to grant Dave and Donna Pedley, 27241 Nantucket Drive a request for
variance (1123.12). A 8' foot rear yard variance. Note: Average depth was used in computing
this variavice request. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08 (B). J. Maloney amended the
motion to add a stateinent stating for a proposed addition to the house. The motion was
seconded by W. Kremzar and unauiinously approved. Variance Granted
Mr. Rymarczyk advised the board that at the March 5, 1998 meeting a variance had been granted
to Janet M. McCrone of 2458 Leberu Drive for an addition to a non conforming bu.ilding. She
would like to ask the board to amend the variance so the air conditioning unit would be allowed
to stay in the side-yard area which would be in violation of the code. Mr. Gomersall asked why
this issue was not addressed at the March 5, 1998 meeting when the other variance was
requested. Mr. Rymarczyk stated in the plans for the new addition the air conditioning unit was
to be placed on the opposite side of the house. The reason for moving the air conditioning to this
area is the adjoining home next door does not have any windows on this side of the house, and if
the McCrone's relocate the air conditioning unit to the other side of their house as the plans
indicate it would be visible from the right-of-way on the side street as it is a corner lot.
