1
R. Tallon motion to recommend to Council the passage of Ordinance No. 99-139: An ordinance
creating a new chapter 1140 of the Planning and Zoning code of the City of North Olmsted,
entitled "Public Facilities Overlay District". The motion was seconded by R. Koeth and
unanimously approved. Motion Carried.
2). Ordinance No. 99-140: An ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City
of North Olmsted in order to supplementally Zone the hereinafter described five parcels of real
property located East of Relocated S.R. 252 and South of I-48, so as to include them within the
Public Facilities Overlay District ("PFO") of the City of North Olmsted. Note: The Planning
Commission tabled this ordinance at the November 9, 1999 meeting.
R. Tallon motioned to recommend to Council the passage of Ordinance No. 99-140: An
ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted in order to
supplementally Zone the hereinafter described five parcels of real property located East of
Relocated S.R. 252 and South of I-48, so as to include them within the Public Facilities Overlay
District ("PFO") of the City of North Olmsted. The motion was seconded by R. Koeth. Mr.
Tallon questioned if there were any questions or comments from the board members. Mr.
Brennan suggested that it should be clarified that the board is not voting on a park and ride when
approving this ordinance. The board is merely saying that the parcels in question do qualify for a
government over lay district. He is not sure that this would be a good place for a park and ride,
but does qualify for the over lay district. Mr. Dubelko advised the Commission that if the Planning
Commission's recommendation is acted upon favorably by Council, then Council will
supplementally rezone these parcels to overlay public facility district. That means that anyone
who owns those parcels will be permitted to develop the parcels for either single family residential
use or any of the uses that are permitted in the overlay district. R. Tallon asked the clerk to take
the boards vote and when she did the motion was unanimously approved. Motion Carriecl.
VII. MINOR CHANGES:
VIII. I\rEW BUSINESS:
R.. Tallon announced that the board would not meet on December 28, 1999 as scheduled, due to
the holidays.
IX. OLD BUSINESS:
X. ADJOURNIVIENT: R.
