ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Tallon called the meeting to order at 7:45pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, R. Tallon, Board Members; K. O'Rourke, R. Koeth, T. Hreha, T. Brennan, <br />and W. Spalding. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Law Director, J. Dubelko, Assistant Building Corrunissioner, T. <br />Rymarczyk, and Clerk o£Commissions, D. Rote. <br />ABSENT: Board Member, S. Asseff. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The minutes of September 14, 1999, Planning <br />Commission meeting are not ready for approval. <br />R. Tallon motioned to table the review of the September 14, 1999 minutes until the next regularly <br />scheduled meeting. The motion was seconded by, W. Spalding and unanimously approved. <br />III. BLTII,DING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Developers Diversified (Babies R Us); 26520 Lorain Avenue: <br />Proposal consists of renovating'the exterior building of the former Best Products building. Note: <br />Babies "R" Us were reviewed at the September 14, 1999, meeting at which time they were <br />referred to the Architectural Review Board and requested to return on September 28, 1999. The <br />Architectural Review Board heard plans on September 22, 1999. 1VOTE: AS BABIES "R" TJS <br />WAS TABLED AT THE ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD MEETING DATED <br />SEPTEldIBER 22, 1999, CHAIR107AN, TALL010t HAS TABLED BABIES "1z°" US ITNTII. <br />'I'HE OCTOBER 28, 1999; PLA1oTNING COlVIMISSIOloT MEETING. <br />2) Thomasville Furniture; 27336 Lorain Road: <br />Proposal consists of remodeling the front elevation, installing landscaping, and a Pylon sign. <br />Note: Planning Corrunission reviewed the proposal on September 14, 1999 at which time they <br />requested that the entire strip center be reviewed at one time and tabled the proposal until <br />September 28, 1999. <br />Chairman Tallon called all interested parties forward to review the proposal. Mr. Schill the <br />architect, Mr. Morris, the owner of Thomasville furniture and Mr. Wilson from Thomasville <br />industries came forward to review their proposal. Mr. Schill suggested that, at the last Planning <br />Corrunission meeting the main issue was the removal of the existing trees. The new site plans that <br />were submitted also included the entire shopping center as was rec}uested. The 9 trees that were <br />removed will be replaced with maple trees 6 to 8 inches in diameter. There will also be additional <br />trees near the entrance as well as landscaping, which will be around the new ground sign. Mr. <br />Tallon questioned if the amount of parking spaces on the plans were enough. Mr. Rymarczyk <br />indicated that there would be sufficient parking, but a parking lot plan would be needed to show
