Mr. Rymarczyk indicated that the <br />applicant would need to submit the plan to the Building Commissioner, D. Conway. Mrs. <br />O'Rourke questioned if there would be lighting placed on the front of the building. Mr. Schill <br />indicated that all the existing lighting would remain and no additional lighting would be added. <br />Mrs. O'Rourke questioned if lighting would be added to the parking lot. Mr. Schill indicated that <br />no parking lot lights would be added. The existing pole sign would be removed and a ground sign <br />will be put in its place. Mr. Brennan questioned if the applicant had samples of their materials that <br />would be used on the building. Mr. Schill indicated that he thought he would need those at the <br />Architectural Review Board meeting they attended, but would be happy to bring the samples to <br />the next Planning Commission meeting. The shingles will be architectural dimensional shingles <br />that will replace all the existing wood shakes. The only E.F.A.S. that will be used will be placed <br />at the top no E.F.A.S. will be used on the bottom of the building. The bottom will be tile to make <br />sure it is impact resistant as well as glazed at the entrance of Thomasville store. Mr. Koeth <br />questioned the diameter of the trees that would be used. Mr. Schill indicated big trees was <br />contacted and they indicated 6" to 8" diameter trees would be about as big as the owners could <br />go to make sure the trees would survive. Mr. Koeth questioned the height of a tree that diameter. <br />Mr. Schill suggested the trees would be about 20 to 30 feet high. Mr: Wilson indicated that he <br />was sorry the trees were removed and indicated that they were over grown and had not been <br />maintained. They were just trying to make the site look better. Mr. Morris indicated that <br />removing the trees was not done to be malicious. Mr. Koeth questioned if the applicant would <br />guarantee that they would take care of the new trees and landscaping. Mr. Morris the owner of <br />Thomasville indicated that he would make sure the trees and landscaping were maintained. Mr. <br />Tallon questioned the area in which deliveries would be made. Mr. Morris indicated that there <br />would only be deliveries to set up the showroom and when they do seasonal changes to the <br />furniture. The store is only a showroom. N1rs. O'Rourke inquired as to what the hours of <br />operation would be. Mr. Morris indicated that the store hours would be 10:00am to 9:00pm <br />Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm Saturdays and noon to 6:00pm on Sundays. Mr. <br />Koeth questioned what was located behind the applicants building. Mr. Morris indicated that <br />there was a brick wall that separated the strip center from Water Tower Square. Mr. Koeth <br />indicated that he would like to see cuts of the light fixtures at the next meeting to have on record. <br />Mr. Wilson suggested they would have down lights. Mr. Tallon indicated that they would like to <br />have wall washer type lights on the building. Mr. Schill indicated the lights would be shown on <br />the plans at the next meeting. Mr. Koeth questioned the type of lights that would be used in the <br />back of the buildirig. Mr. Schill indicated that they were high-pressure sodium wall packs. Mr. <br />Tallon suggested that water tower square was behind as well as Car Dealership. Mr. Schill <br />commented that there was no residential property behind the strip center. Mr. Tallon indicated <br />that the high-pressure sodium lights could remain on the back of the building. The applicants will <br />be sent on to the Architectural Review Board and the board would like to see a cut of the light <br />fixtures and samples of the building materials that will be used, when they return. Mr. Koeth <br />inquired if the Thomasville sign over the door would be lit. Mr. Schill indicated that the <br />Thomasville sign would be a corporate blue, neon sign. Mr. Morris added that the Thomasville <br />logo would not be placed on the buflding. Mr. Rymarczyk indicated that the applicants would <br />need 2 variances for the ground sign, if the applicants chose to place the sign as it was currently <br />shown on the site plans.
