,Ji
start some work. He doesn't want to see Horizons lose time. He suggested that maybe Horizons
could start the demolition of tlle existing building, and questioned Mr. Rymarczyk if they could start
the demolition. Mr. Rymarczyk indicated that Horizons could apply for a demolition pernut, but it
would take the building department two weeks before they could issue the permit as the plan need to
be reviewed by the Fire department. Mr. Koeth reviewed that the Architectural Review Board has
asked for changes and we need to review these changes before they move on. Mr. Brennan suggested
that they should be allowed to move on and come back to address the outside issues. Mr. Koeth
reiterated that he would like to see the materials that will be used as well as the lighting and the
requested changes that the Architectural Review Board made. Mr. Tallon commented that at the first
Planning Commission meeting he requested that the developer provide samples of the materials that
would be used as well as the opportunity to review the changes requested by the Architectural Review
Board at this meeting. Mr. Grassa indicated tliat he had misunderstood Mr. Tallon's request he
thought he only needed the materials for the Architectural Review Board. Mr. Koeth indicated that he
didn't want to see the plans just shot through. Mrs. 0'Rourke suggested only bringing back the
lighting; landscaping and columns for review, as they were more cosmetic issues. Mr. Brennan
questioned where does the board draw the line as to what comes back, for example the existing chain
link fence, will it be vinyl coated or will it be left to rust, that issue has never been brought forth. Mr.
Grassa indicated that it would be vinyl coated. Mr. Brennan indicated these are the types of issues
that could still be brought up and compound one on top of the other without having a completed site
plan. Mr. Tallon suggested the board is not trying to be hard nosed, but their needs to be a set of
completed site plans. He questioned if there was anyone present in the audience that would like to
make any comments. As no one came fonvard, no further comments were made.
R. Tallon motioned to table Horizons proposal until the next regularly scheduled meeting. The
developer is to bring in a set of completed pla.ns showing all the changes in the lighting, landscaping,
how they address the comments from the Architectural Review Board, the fence, and the safety issues
incorporated into the plans. The new water hydrant is to be indicated on the new plans as well as the
building entrance changes. The Planning Commission would also like to see building materials, color
samples and photometric for the lighting fixtures. The motion was seconded by R. Koeth. Roll call
on the motion; R. Tallon; yes, R. Koeth; yes, K. O'Rourke; abstain, S. Asseff; yes, T. Brennan; yes,
and W. Spalding; abstain.
