Mr. Brennan indicated that the plans show the highest point to be 36.09feet. <br />Mr. Tallon asked if the building would be one or two story. Mr. Grassa indicated that the <br />building is one-story but the height was to accommodate a gymnasium. Mr. Tallon suggested <br />moving the high point of the building to the front to keep it closer to the commercial portion <br />of the lot. Mr. Grassa indicated that the height of the building is in correlation to the play <br />area for the children. Mr. Brennan questioned the height of the proposed pole lights. Mr. <br />Grassa indicated the pole lights would be 20 feet high, he suggested he didn't have cuts of <br />the lights, but could fax one to the Building Department. Mr. Asseff suggested that the plans <br />showed that the lights would be 25feet high. Mr. Tallon asked what elevation were the <br />measurements taken from. He indicated that the lighting was too high and the shine from the <br />lights must be zero at the lot line. Mr. Grassa indicated they would make sure it was taken <br />care of. Mr. Tallon asked about lights on the north side of the building. Mr. Grassa <br />indicated there would be none. Mr. Koeth inquired if the play area would be fenced. Mr. <br />Grassa indicated all play areas would be fenced. Mr. Tallon questioned what type of <br />equipment would be on the playground. Mr. Grassa indicated that there would be swing- <br />sets, juggle gyms, and that type of equipment. There is an existing fence alone the southwest <br />corner that will remain and an additional fence that will be added to the south side. There <br />was discussion regarding the entrance drive easement, which exists. Mr: Brennan suggested <br />he prefened the entrance drive to be located on David Drive. Mr. Tallon asked Mr. <br />Rymarczyk if there was anything that needed to be discussed that the board might have <br />missed. NIr. Rymarczyk indicated that the current plans did not show a loading dock, area <br />and suggested the Planning Commission would have to address the issue of having 1 access <br />drive, as 2 are required. Mr. Brennan questioned that with this being a daycare, the way the <br />plans show the drive, will there be enough room for emergency vehicles. Mr. C'rrassa <br />indicated that the building would be built to the latest codes and there are exit doors, which <br />lead outside in all the classrooms. Mr. Brennan suggested having the safety department look <br />at the site plans. Mr. Tallon questioned if there had to be access to the building from all sides <br />for emergency vehicles. He reviewed that there was a case that the 1'lanning Commission <br />allowed a type of drive that had a brick type inaterial that allowed grass to grow through. <br />Which served as a drive for emergency vehicles, such• a drive could be incorporated into the <br />exist.ing easement area. Mr. Koeth asked if the 60foot easement went thraugh to Lorain <br />Road. Mr. Grassa indicated that the board had indicated at the last meeting when the special <br />permit was granted that, they didn't want the trees removed along the easement area. Mr. <br />Asseff reviewed that during a fire there should be access for emergency vehicles around the <br />entire building. Mr. Grassa indicated that each room would have access to the outside, and <br />that the main portion of the building would be masonry. Mr. Asseff questioned what was the <br />potential for a fire spreading to other buildings. Mr. Grassa indicated that the buildings <br />around the daycare were brick. Therefore the potential for a fire spreading is minimal. Mr. <br />Brennan indicated that the safety department would need to review the plans. He questioned <br />if the driveway would be a standard 22foot wide drive. Mr. Grassa indicated that the drive <br />would be 24 feet wide. Mr. Brennan suggested changing the board on board fenced area for <br />the dumpster to a brick enclosure. Mr. Grassa indicated that split face block would be used <br />for the dumpster area. Mr. Koeth questioned were the children would be dropped off. Mr. <br />Grassa indicated that the age of the children were such that the children were escorted to <br />2
