All members of the Council shall be residents of the City. <br />The terms of the members shall be three years. An LTN-expired term resulting from a vacancy shall <br />be filled in the same manner as the initial appointment was made. The Council shall perform the <br />duties and responsibilities as set forth in the Act. ?(Ord. 91-175. Passed 2-18-92). The <br />Comrnissioners will need to make a motion on which member they would like to appoint. Mr. <br />Tallon asked NIr. Dubelko to review the topic for the Commissioners. Mr. Dubelko suggested the <br />liousing council basically functions that relate out of the tax abatements. They should really be <br />called the Tax Incentive Review Council, but they are called the housing council in our code. They <br />review tax abatement applications for enterprise zone, tax abatement for community reinvestment <br />area, and also serve after a project is approved to monitor it on yearly bases to make sure they are <br />coiiiplying with the terms of the tax abatement. Mrs. O'Rourke suggested the position would be <br />suited for a banker. <br />R. "1'allon inotioned to recommend R. Koeth to the mayor to be the representative for the Planning <br />Cominission, and to serve on the housing commission. The motion was seconded by T. Brennan <br />and unanimously approved. Motion Carried. <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS: <br />X. ADJOURNMENT: <br />R. Tallon motioned to excuse the absentee W. Spalding.
