Mr. Dotson indicated that it was a hodge-podge of colors and sizes and they
wanted to get away from that.
R. Tallon made a motion on the Oakleaf Furniture proposal. The motion is to the Board Of
Zoning Appeals, the Plamiing Commission will not recommend; (1) a special permit to add to a
non-conforming building; (2)a 25'foot rear variance for the rear building setback; (3)a 34'foot
variance for the rear side building setback; (4) 8'foot for the front parking lot area setback; (5)
20'foot for the side drive setback; (6)elimiuation of truck loading and unloading area; (7)
excessive land coverage, 35%; (8)the grou.nd sign is located in the 35'foot prohibited triangular
area; (9) 3'6" height variance for wall sign; (10)56.25' square foot variance for building wall sign;
(11) 33.75'square foot maximum sign face allowed; (12)and one car parking variance also. The
committee is asking the Board of Zoning Appeals to deny the requests. The proposal does not fit
this properiy and this is not in the best interest of anyone to do this. This is just so many
variances and it doesn't make any sense to do them. Seconded by R. Koeth and unanimously
approved. There is an
envirovent kit which pulls the air out, is also U/L and ETL listed. The hot air is forced from the bottom of the kiln into the vent. Mr. Koeth inquired
as to the size of the kilns.
