< <br />J. Maloney moved to grant Fish Furniture of 23770 Lorain Road their request for variance (1123.12). <br />Which consists of adding new fagade and that the following variances be granted: <br />A special pernut to add to a non-confornvng building, section, (1165.02). <br />1) A variance to enlarge a non-conforming building, section (1165.02 B1). <br />2) A 75 foot variance for front setback, (code requires 75ft, applicant shows 0), section (1139.07). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections, (1165.02 B1) and (1139.07). Note: Although shown on <br />the attached drawing are 8 new parking spaces at the rear of the site, this in NOT being requested for at <br />this time. The motion was seconded by J. Konold and unanimously approved. Variances Granted. <br />12. Haminerschxnidt Bldrs Inc.: 24002 Beaumont <br />Request for vanance (1123.12). Proposal consists of new home. <br />The following variance is required: <br />1) An 8 foot 6-inch variance for rear yard setback, (Code requires SOft, applicant shows 41.6ft). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1135.08 A). <br />Chainnan Gomersall called all interested parties forward, and reviewed the variance requested. Mr. & <br />Mrs. Hammerschmidt, the owners came forward to review their request. Mr. Gomersall indicated that he <br />did not have any questions and asked if there were any questions from the other board members. Mr. <br />Koberna questioned why the 50-foot setback was not met. Mr. Harrunerschmidt indicated that because the <br />lot was a comer lot and to meet the other requirements a rear yard setback would be needed. No further <br />comments were made. <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Hammerschmidt Bldrs Inc. of 24002 Beaumont their request for variance <br />(1123.12). Which consists of new home and that the following variance be granted: <br />1) An 8 foot 6-inch variance for rear yard setback, (Code requires SOft, applicant shows 41.6ft). <br />Wluch is in violation of Ord..90-125 section, (1135.08 A). The motiori was seconded by T. Koberna and <br />unauimously approved. Variance Granted. <br />13. Carriage Plaza; 25139-25195 Lorain Road: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a new pylon sign. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1) A 2 foot height varia.uce for a pylon sign, (code permits 8ft, applicant shows lOft), section (1163.12 <br />B). <br />2) A 5 foot variance for front setback, (code requires lOft, applicant shows Sft). <br />3) A 1 car parking space variance for installing a pylon sign in a parking space, section (1161.05) <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections, (1163.12 B) and (1161.05). Note: This pylon sign is <br />replacing a pole sign that will be removed if the variances are approved. Pole sign demolition permit has <br />been issued. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties forward, and reviewed the variances requested. Mr. <br />Smith, with Direct Image Signs came forward. Mr. Gomersall questioned if the existing pole sign would <br />be removed. Mr. Smith indicated that the pole sign would be removed. No further comments were made. <br />J. Maloney moved to grant Carriage Plaza of 25 13 9-25 195 Larain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12). Which consists of a new pylon sign and that the following variances be granted: <br />1) A 2 foot height variance for a pylon sign, (code permits 8ft, applicant shows lOft), section (1163.12 <br />B). <br />2) A 5 foot variance for front setback, (code requires lOft, applicant shows Sft). <br />3) A 1 car parking space variance for installing a pylon sign in a parking space, section (1161.05) <br />8
