He commented that one sign would <br />be placed over the front of the common area and the second sign would be placed.over the door entrance. <br />Mr. Koberna indicated that the applicant was basically just changing out the signs. All board members <br />commented that they didn't mind the signs being changed. No further comments were made. <br />J. Maloney motioned to approve Marshalls of 5170 Great Northern Mall their request for variance <br />(1123.12). Which consists of a sign package and that the following variances be granted: <br />1) A 192.5 square foot variance for sign face area of a business unit, (code allows 35.5sq ft, applicant <br />requests 228sq ft), (1163.11 C). <br />2) A 2 foot height variance for wall sign 42, (code allows 4ft high, applicant requests 6ft), (1163.12 A). <br />3) An 83 square foot variance for wall sign #2 face area, (code allows 75sq ft, applicant requests 158sq <br />ft), ( 1163.12). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1163.11 A) and (1163.12 A). The motion <br />was seconded by W. Kremzar and tulanimously approved. Variances Granted <br />9. Jeff Dubecky; 30692 Lorain Road: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a sign Package. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1) A variance to add a phone number to a pylon sign which is not pernutted by code, (1163.03 A 1 C). <br />2) A variance to have 3 services listed on a pylon sign, (code limits goods and services to 2), (1163.03 A <br />1 C). <br />3) A 5 foot R inch variance for side setback footage, (code requires 25ft, applicant shows 19ft 4"), <br />(1163.12 B). <br />4) 2. 35square foot variances to construct pylon signs in 2 safety triangles, one being in their own and the <br />second to be in their neighbor's to the west, (code stipulates No pylon signs shall be allowed within a <br />triangle formed between points on the street right of way line and the nearest edge of an intersection drive <br />within 35sq ft from their intersection. Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1163.03 A1 C), <br />(1163.12 B). <br />Cha.irman Gomersall called all interested parties forward, and reviewed the variances requested. Mr. <br />Dubecky, with Budget Air Heating and Cooling and Mr. Santoro, with Special Effects Signs and Graphics <br />came forward to present their proposal. Mr. Gomersall questioned Mr. Conway as to if the proposed sign <br />was a pylon sign even though it was on a pole. Mr. Conway indicated "yes", and commented that the pole <br />was below grade. Mr. Gomersall questioned if the proposed signage would be on the neighbor's property to <br />the west. Mr. Conway commented that the triangle would have to be developed in relationship to the <br />driveways and the right of ways and the driveway runs pretty close to their side of the property. Mr. <br />Gomersall clarified that there would only be one sign. No further comments were made. <br />J.
