problem parking his van in the back of the building. Mr. Likakis suggested he would like to use the <br />selected area for the sign as there is an existing outlet that they would like to utilize. Mr. Emmanuel <br />asked for clarification on what the board was saying. Mr. Gomersall indicated they are agreeing to grant <br />the variances as requested. No further questions were asked. <br />J. Konold motioned to approve AIRI'S Place Restaurant of 4998 Dover Center Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12). Proposal to consist of a Sign package, and that the following variances be granted. <br />1) A variance to place the ground sign within a triangle formed between points on the street right of way <br />line and the nearest edge of an intersection drive within 35' feet from their intersection <br />2) A 20' foot inside lot setback variance (Code requires 25'feet, they are asking to be 5' feet) Which is <br />in Violation of Ord. 90-125, Sections (1163.12 (B). Note: Owner is using 12'. 5 square feet of excess <br />wall signage and applying it to the ground sign. The motion was seconded by T. Koberna and <br />unanimously approved. Variances Granted. <br />4. Household Finance Cor2oration25343 Lorain Road: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of a sign package. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1)A 19'.2 square foot variance for building unit signage. (Code permits 20' sq. ft., they request 39'.2 <br />square feet). Which is in Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section ( 1163.11 C). Note: This sign was installed <br />without obtaining a permit. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties forward and reviewed the variances being requested. Mr. <br />Craft, and Mr. Smith representatives from Household bank came forward to present their proposal. Mr. <br />Gomersall asked if the applicants thought they wouldn't need a permit if they were just moving the sign. <br />Mr. Craft indicated Mr. Gomersall was correct, they didn't know they needed a permit to move the sign. <br />J. Maloney motioned to approve Household Finance Corporation of 25343 Lorain Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12). Proposal to consist of a sign package, and that the following variance be granted: A <br />19'2 squaxe foot variance for building unit signage. (Code permits 20' sq. ft., they request 39'.2 square <br />feet). Which is in Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section ( 1163.11 C). Note: This sign was installed without <br />obtaining a permit. The motion was seconded by W. Kremzar and unanimously approved. Variance <br />Granted. <br />Mr. James Boros; 24050 Ambour Drive: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of adding a patio room. <br />A special permit to add to a non-conforming building will be required. <br />The following variances are requested: . <br />1) A special permit to add to a non-conforming building, note: side yard is 3'feet from building <br />(1123.11). <br />2) A 12' foot rear yard variance (Code requires 50'feet, they proposes 38' feet) (1135.08 A). <br />3) A 1`foot side yard variance (Code requires 5'feet, they proposes 4'feet) (1135.07 A). <br />Which is in Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section (1123.11), (1135.08 A), (1135.07 A). Note: neighbors <br />detached garage would be about 11' feet from new addition. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties forward and reviewed the variances being requested. Mr. <br />Weisenberger, the engineer and Mss. Kane the owner of the home came forward to present their proposal. <br />Mr. IVlaloney suggested with the addition being built so close to the neighbor's garage, it should be <br />moved as far off the corner of the house as possible, and that the addition should be required to have a <br />firewall. Mr. Weisenberger suggested the patio addition comes prefabricated and is glass and aluminum, <br />it would be diff?icult to include a firewall to that. 1VIr. Conway indicated it would be hard to have a <br />firewall in a glassed porch area. Mr. Gareau suggested the board members could not ask the applicant to <br />fire wall his neighbor's garage. Mr. Conway asked if the addition would be a three, season structure. Mr.
