? indicated that going down Porter Road, the old fire station and the tire dealership <br />would stay and be renovated. He indicated that they would confer with a Lighting <br />consultant and the buildings would be further detailed. Mr. Koeth questioned if <br />the two building in the back would be part of the KIA dealership. Mr. Suhayda <br />indicated that the buildings would be renovated and remain what they presently <br />are. Mr. Koeth questioned how the buildings would 6e renovated. Mr. Suhayda <br />indicated that they are -tying the buildings in to compliment the CVS, with the <br />sandstone and wrought iron. Mr. Tallon questioned if the two buildings in the <br />rear would have brick with wrought iron. Mr. Suhayda indicated that two <br />building would be much similar, with new entrances on the buildings, new <br />signage, and introduce some brick and metal. Mr: Tallon indicated that the <br />buildings would just be painted. Mr. Suhayda indicated that there should be stone <br />and a new canopy. Mr. Ta11on indicated there was no canopy. He questioned if <br />the two parcels that needed to be rezoned were still included in the project. Mr. <br />Suhayda indicated yes. Mr. Tallon questioned if the proposal would moye <br />forward without the two parcels. Mr. Suhayda replied "no, it would not." W. <br />Tallon questioned if Mr. Suhayda was aware of the original proposal being turned <br />down in the past six or seven months. He questioned why the decision would be <br />changed now. Mr: Suhayda indicated that the original plans did not include all <br />the buildings. Mr. Tallon indicated it did include all the buildings, it was a new <br />car dealership. Mr. Suhayda -indicated he was not aware of that proposal. Mr. <br />Tallon indicated that the dealer blatantly breaks the law every Friday night, and <br />questions why the City should help the dealer. Mr. Tallon: reiterated that this is <br />the same project. Mr. Suhayda reiterated that he is not aware of the original <br />plans. Mr. Tallon indicated that the dealership defies the Cities laws by bringing <br />the cars forward out of the front setback and then moves them back every <br />Saturday night. He indicated that the dealer has been warned and has chosen to <br />ignore those warnings. Mr. Koeth questioned what the two vacant lots would be <br />used for. Mr. Suhayda indicated it would be a paved parking lot used for storage <br />of cars. Mr. Koeth questioned if the stored cars would be KIA's or would Mr. <br />Halleen.cross over the cars from the other, dealerships. Mr. Suhayda indicated <br />that he did not believe there would be anything to hold a dealer to what cars he <br />could store on the lots. He indicated that for now the cars would be KIA's. W. <br />Tallon indicated that the entrance on Dewey Road is not capable of carrying the <br />traffic that exists there presently. He questioned if the dealer would be willing to <br />help upgrade that infrastructure. W. Suhayda indicated that it was possible. He <br />indicated that the curb cut could be eliminated and that the truck traffic would <br />come in off of Lorain Road. Mr. Tallon suggested eliminating the curb cut. Mrs. <br />O'Rourke questioned the ' drainage with the new pavement. W. Deichmann <br />indicated. site plans have not been submitted yet. Mr. Suhayda indicated that the <br />applicant is looking for preliminary indication before hiring an engineer, architect, <br />and lighting consultant. Mr. Spalding questioned if there were any lighting <br />prograrns as of yet: Mr. Suhayda indicated that there are preliminary <br />photometrics showing the layouts, but it has not been submitted yet. Mr. Tallon <br />questioned if there were any comments or questions from the Board or the <br />audience. W. Jordan, a Dewey Road resident indicated that his land would be the <br />most impacted. He indicated that he has photographic documentation .of the type <br />of vehicles that are before and aft his property now. 1V1r. Jordan indicated.that this <br />5
