ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 5:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, R. Puzzitiello, Board Members, R. Klesta and P. <br />Engoglia. <br />ABSENT: Board Members, D. Spoerke and M. Conway. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Building Commissioner, T. Rymarczyk and Clerk <br />of Commissions, D. Rote. <br />H. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINTJTES: The Board of Building Codes <br />of Appeals minutes dated July 20, 2000 have been submitted for approval. <br />P. Engoglia motioned to approve the Building Board of Appeals minutes dated <br />July 20, 2000 as written. The motion was seconded by R. Klesta and <br />unanimously approved. <br />III. BUII.;DING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />Lelia A. Mvers• 4525 Gladland Ave. <br />A variance to place a second fence along the north side of the applicants <br />property, (code does not allow additional fence if there is existing fence on <br />property line). Which is in violation of section 1369.03 (a) (3). Note: This <br />proposal was tabled at the July 20, 2000 meeting. , <br />Chairman, Puzzitiello called all interested parties forward to review the <br />request. Mrs. Myers, the owner came forward. to review her request. Mrs. <br />Myers suggested that she would be placing the fence 2 feet off the ground so <br />she would be able to maintain the growth of grass between the two fences. <br />The wood will be treated wood, or she could use cedar if the board wishes. <br />Mr. Puzzitiello questioned if Mrs. Myers spoke to her neighbor about letting <br />her remove the fence that is currently in place. Mrs. Myers indicated that she <br />did speak with the neighbor and she does not wish her to remove her fence. <br />Mr. Puzzitiello remarked that if the existing fence is not removed then there <br />would be two fences side by side and the board could not allow that. Mrs. <br />Myers indicated that she would be able to maintain the fence. It would be off <br />the ground so maintenance would not be an issue. She believes that the board <br />is not being fair, or reasonable. She is currently uncomfortable going in her <br />backyard now because of the view. If her neighbors are out she feels as if she <br />can not use her, own backyard, because she does not want to make them <br />uncomfortable. Mr. Engoglia questioned the Assistant Building
