ROLL CALL: <br />Chairinan, Zergott called the meeting to order at 5:35pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairinan, Zergott, Board member;lVl. Yager. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Building Commissioner, T. Rymarczyk, Clerk of Commissions, D. <br />Rote, and Assistant Clerk of Commissions, S. Solomon. <br />ABSENT: Board members; K. Schultz, T. Liggett. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF NIlNUTES: The Architectural Review Board minutes for <br />September 20, 2000 have been submitted for approval. <br />Chairman Zergott asked if there were any corrections or additions to the September 20, 2000 <br />minutes. Mr. Yager indicated that page three item 5 should read the masonry bricks used should <br />be full set and not thin set, which should be corrected. <br />M. Yager motioned to approve the minutes once corrected. The motion was seconded by B. <br />Zergott and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: No Items. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. Developers Diversified Realty(Babies R US); 26520 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal consists of adding an additional 4,500 square foot addition to the existing Babies R Us <br />14,639 square foot building as well as parking and landscaping. Note: Planning Commission <br />reviewed this proposal at their 9/12/00 meeting. Architectural Review Board reviewed this <br />proposal at the 9I20/00 meeting. <br />Chairman Zergott called all interested parties forward to review the proposal. Mr. Elbin, the <br />project manager, and N1r. Ports, the architect, came forward. Mr. Elbin commented that they <br />have submitted new more detailed plans including more landscaping. Mr. Ports indicated that <br />the proposed huilding would match the existing Babies R Us building. Mr. Zergott questioned <br />the fence and what the forester had recommended. Mr. Ports indicated that the Planning <br />Commission wanted them to replace the whole fence. Mr. Zergott indicated that they may not <br />have to replace it if it would cause too much damage to the existin(y landscaping around it. At <br />this time Mr. Zergott telephoned the Forester. The Forester indicated that he has not had time to <br />visit the site yet, but when he checks it out he will let them know. Mr. Ports indicated the <br />building is entirely masonry except around the corners there is E.F.I.S. that wraps around about <br />four feet. Mr. Zergott commented that he liked the new landscaping and variety of plants they <br />were choosing to put in. <br />M. Yager motioned to approve Developers Diversified (Babies R Us) rear building addition; <br />26520 Lorain Rd. with the following comments. 1) The forester's review is taken into full <br />consideration. 2) E.F.I.S. trim is to extend four feet around facade. 3) The window frames are
