Bennigan's Restaurant Bar & Grill; 4824 Great Northern Blvd.
Proposal consists of constnzction of a new Bennigans Restaurant. Note: Planning Commission
reviewed this proposal at their 9/12/00 meeting.
Chairman Zergott called all interested parties forward to review their proposal. Mr. Ames, the
Engineer for Bennigan's came forward to review the proposal. Mr. Ames indicated that there
were a couple of changes that Planning Commission requested and Bennigan's agreed too. There
will be brick from ground level to the bottom of the window ledge around the entire building.
Mr. Yager commented that he thought the brick would help the overall appearance of the
building. Mr. Ames continued, curb cuts one (1) and three (3) would be eliminated, as well as
parking spaces A, B, C, and D. The brick color will be a sandy burnt red. The Windows are
treated bronze, which will not turn color. The color of the doors will be mallard green. Above
the brick the material used will be a#108 beige E.F.I.S. Mr. Ames indicated that the dock/dumpster area is facing west towards
Sears Department store. The dock area is walled and will not be visible. Mr. Yager questioned
what type of gate would to be used. Mr. Ames suggested they could use cyclone or wood
whichever the board preferred. 1VIr. Zergott felt that a board on board fence would look the best
and requested it be painted the same color as the E.F.I.S. He questioned the starting and ending
points of the proposed trees. There should be more trees on the site, he is not sure who should be
planting them Sears or Bennigan's but more are needed. Discussion took place as to who would
plant the trees Mr. Zergott believed the mall planted poor trees, there were maple, and pines,
which were all different sizes and did not survive. Mr. Zergott would like to know if the board
