Mr. Hall indicated it would be placed in the southwest corner of the site that would <br />be screened in with brick to match the building. Mr. Yager questioned if the proposed land <br />banked parking would be near the residents. NIr. Yager questioned if they had met the <br />setback obligation along Great Northern Boulevard. Mr. Ford replied "yes" and indicated are <br />not requesting any variances. Mr. Yager questioned Mr. Zergott if from a landscaping <br />program if that would be a suff'icient buffer guard against car lights in parking lot bleeding <br />into the street. Mr. Hall indicated that there would be 3 feet mounds of ornamental trees and <br />larger trees. NTr. Zergott indicated that most of the landscaping in the front would not block <br />lights for 5 months. Mr. Hall reviewed that the trees would be there year round which would <br />block in the front of the cars. Mr. Yager questioned the depth from the property line to the <br />beginning of the parking lot. Mr. Ford indicated that it was a minimum of 21 feet up to 24 <br />feet. Mr. Yager indicated he likes the color along the road but is concerned that there is <br />nothing low but the mound and as the trees grow it will not block the lights. Mr. Hall <br />suggested that there are a number of trees on the resident's side. Mr. Hall indicated that there <br />will be evergreens on the north east corner to have year round coverage. Mr. Zer.gott <br />questioned which cut out would be along Columbia Road. Mr. Hall reviewed that there <br />would be spruce trees on each corner with the ornamentals. Mr. Zergott indicated reviewed <br />that a blowup would be needed to make sure there is proper buffering. Mr. Yager suggested <br />matching the parking lot light from Moen since the two buildings are part of the same <br />development. He indicated he likes the idea of lighting from below and not the top he <br />believes the building is. very clean. W. Zergott questioned if there was a canister type light <br />that would fit in the overhead. Mr. Yager indicated that the light source would still be seen. <br />He indicated that lighting from below and hitting above is more elegant than from above to <br />below. Mr. Yager suggested considering using stone up the archway to the pre-cast silk <br />points so that the strength is on the edge. He indicated the colors are excellent and very <br />effective. <br />Mr. Yager made a motion to approve Duke-Weeks Reality; Location is south side of AL <br />Moen Drive PP# 236-11-009,011,018 & 236-12-010, the proposal which consists of erecting <br />a building on the front southwest side of Moen Drive with the following comments: 1.)A <br />cutout of the Columbia Road landscaping plan be submitted to be reviewed, 2.) Light the <br />archway from below and 3.) The site lighting match the parking lot lighting at Moen. The <br />motion was seconded by T. Liggett and unanimously approved. Motion Carried. <br />NOTE: At this time the Clerk indicated that the Proposal would go before the Board of <br />Zoning Development on June 13, 2000 at 6:30pm. <br />2 <br />VI.
