I:ang called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, J. Lang and Board members, B. Lord, P. Barker, C. Miller, G. Corell, <br />A. Smeraldi and L. VanAuken. <br />ABSENT: Board members, M. Gareau Jr. and K. O'Rourke. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTTON OF MINUTES: The minutes of the Landmaxks Commission <br />meeting held on July 10, 2000 _ have been submitted for approval. Mrs. VanAuken <br />commented that under old business, item number four, the last name of the applicant is <br />spelled two different ways. Mr. Lang remarked that he believes Wallace is the correct <br />. spelling. <br />P. Barker motioned to approve the Landmarks minutes dated July 10, 12000 as corrected. The <br />motion was seconded by L. VanAuken and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Paul Schumann: 27137 Butternut Ridge Rd. <br />Mr. Lang called Mr. Schumann forward. Mr. Schumann commented that he has shown the <br />board that he is doing foundation work on the bottom. The south side and east side of the <br />house is completed with the foundation drip. He has been tearing off the siding. Mr. Lang <br />questioned the location of the home. Mr. Schumann answered at Revere and Butternut. Mr. <br />Schumann is planning to extend the new foundation all the way around the house. Mr. <br />Barker noticed that Mr. Schumann was going to add another drip above there. Mi-. <br />Schumann replied yes, about half way up the house. Mrs. VanAuken commented that the <br />board should be looking at the removal of the aluminum siding and the replacement of the <br />drip. Mr. Larig replied that he had this proposal as to install foundation drip and drip ledge <br />near second floor, removal of the siding, replace rear imperfections in wood siding, and <br />moldings to coinplete dental mold. Mr. Schumann agreed with 1V1r. Lang. Mr. Schumann <br />commented that this is a pretty big project and since he is doing this alone, he expects that he <br />will have the south and eastern sides of the house done this year and then come spring he will <br />cornplete the rest of the house. Mr. Lang commented tha,t -he does not think there is a time <br />limit on building permits. Mr. Schumann then presented to the board a color pallet that <br />entailed the colors he is interested in using. These colors being creme; farmhouse red, <br />antique gold on the dentals, and work in village green in a small way. Mr. Barker <br />commented that painting should be in the motion. Mr. Lang questioned if these- colors were <br />from Sherwin Williams. Mr. Schumann replied yes, from their preservation collection. Mr.
