hide the fence. The motion was seconded by K. O'Rourke and unanimously
approved.
Mr. Lang indicated that while talking to the Wolf s contraetor he found out
that the Wolf s would also be replacing the wood siding with vinyl siding. He
spoke to Mr. Wolf who indicated that they would like to replace the wood
siding. Mr. Wolf showed the board members a sample of the vinyl siding and
window shingles that they would like to use. He indicated that the wood
siding was very had to maintain. Mrs. Lord suggested that she was not trying
to threaten the Wolf's, but wanted to remind them that the plaque would be
removed if the owners did not try to maintain the historical appearance of the
home. Mr. Miller questioned if Mr. Wolf knew the original color of the home
and what the width of the original siding was. Mr. Wolf commented that he
was not sure of the original color or siding width. Mrs: Lord suggested that
the Wolf s try to find pictures from past owners and to try to keep the house
looking historical as possible. Mrs. VanAuken suggested looking at other
homes in the area to get an idea for colors. Mr. Lang believed that siding of
that day would not be more than 4 inches wide. Mrs. O'Rourke questioned if
it was the intent of the Wolf's to restore the house to the original Iook. Mrs.
Wolf indicated that they would like to try to restore it as best they could. Mr.
Wolf questioned how long it would take to get approval for siding. Mr. Lang
suggested that ordinance 99-40 indicated that once the request is received by
Landmarks the board would have 10 days to call a meeting and then once the
meeting is completed they would either have the approval or not. The board
members suggested that the Wolfls try to find out the colors that were used on
houses the year the home was built and to try to keep the house original
looking as possible. Mr. Wolf questioned if he would have to go to any other
boards to do. the siding and suggested that they would like to have the siding
done by June as well.
Mr. Lang indicated that the board would need to have a vice-chairman to run
the meetings in his absent.
P. Barker motioned to make Mrs. Lord the vice-chairman. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Corell and unanimously approved.
VI. OLD BUSINESS:
1. Sub-Corrunittee appointments.
Mr. Lang indicated that he would like to establish 3 sub-committees the first
being 'by-laws, second a plaque committee and third a goals committee. Mr.
Corell questioned if Mr. Lang was going to do the appointments without all
the members present. Mr. Lang answered "yes", as it needs to be done. Mr.
Lang indicated that he wanted Mr. Smeraldi, Mrs. O'Rourke and Mr. Barker
