9 d ?
t
Landmarks could purchase the home for $1.00 they could make it an off
campus school for grade schools. It would give grammar school children the
opportunity to see a historical home. Mr. Miller questioned were the entrance
to the park-n-ride would be located. Mrs. O'Rourke indicated that she
believed that the entrance would be in line with Moen Drive. The board
members discussed applying for a grant to move the historic home to a new
site. A suggestion of an empty lot near the site could be a good location for
the home. Mr. Lang remarked that he would look into it further and let the
board members know more at the next meeting.
2. Steve and Mary Wolf; 27132 Butternut Rid eRd.
Proposal consists of a new fence in and around yard.
Mr. Wolf, the owner of the home presented his proposal. Mr. Wolf reviewed
that the fence would be constructed out of black vinyl galvanized chain-link
fencing. The fence on the West Side of the home will be 5 feet high from the
front of the home to the back end of the home. The remaining height of the
fence will be 4 foot high. Mrs. VanAuken questioned why the entire fence
would not be 4 feet high. Mr. Wolf explained that his two dogs could jump a 4
foot fence and the area that is 5 foot high will have a pet door so the dogs
could come in and out of the house. As that area will. be fenced off the dogs
will only be in the 4-foot high section if either his wife or himself are with
them. The main reason for the fence is because they have had trouble with
trespassers from the High School and Middle School. Mr. O'Rourke remarked
that she did not like chain-link fences and questioned if the gates would also be
chain-link. Mr. Wolf replied "yes". Mr. Barker questioned why the Wolf s
needed to go before the Board of Building Control for a variance. Mr. Wolf
indicated that by code he is not allowed to have 2 parallel fences on his lot.
Mrs. O'Rourke questioned if other fencing material was looked at. Mr. Wolf
commented that the cost was a main factor and that the black vinyl galvanized
chain-link blended with the surroundings the best. Mr. Barker questioned if
the entire fence would be black vinyl galvanized chain-link. Mr. Wolf
answered "yes". Mr. Lang indicated that he received a sample of the fence
from Mr. Wolf s contractor so all the board members could see what it looked
like. Mr. Miller questioned when the Wolf s wanted the fence installed by.
Mr. Wo1f indicated that his daughter would be graduating in June so he would
like to have the work completed by then. Mrs. VanAuken questioned if any
landscaping would be put in place to hide the fencing that will be seen in the
front of the house. Mrs. Wolf indicated that they planned on putting some type
of bushes on the West Side of the house in front of the fence to buffer the dog
run.
J. Lang motioned to approve Steve and Mary Wolf of 27132 Butternut Ridge
Rd. their request that consists of a new fence in and around the yard. With the
inclusion of landscaping being added to the front West Side of the home to
