Variance Granted <br />Rob & Eva Hadzima; 6193 Paisley Dr• <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of erecting a fence. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1) A 33 ft. variance for the fence to be within neighbors front setback (code pernuts 0, applicant shows <br />33 ft.). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, 1135.02 F-2. <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review their request. Mrs. Hadzima, the owner <br />and Mr. Modenbach, a neighbor came forward to be sworn in and review the request. Mr. Maloney <br />questioned how close the fence would be from the sidewalk. Mrs. Hadzima suggested that they would <br />like to place the fence 3 feet past the existing trees so the roots do not become damaged. Mr. Modenbach <br />questioned what type of fence would be erected. Mrs. Hadzima indicated that she wanted to have a 5-foot <br />vinyl fence with lattice atop the fence. Mr. Modenbach requested to view the plans. Mrs. Hadzima <br />indicated that they would be willing to place the fence inside the trees if they had too. Mr. Maloney <br />indicated that the maximum height for a fence is 6-foot high. He believes that the applicant would like a <br />5-foot fence with 1-foot lattice on top. Mr. Modenbach believed that the fence would block in his home. <br />Mr. Koberna indicated that he was concerned with what type of fence would be put in place. The code <br />requires 50% open face. Mr. Rymarczyk reviewed what 50% open face would be. He reviewed why the <br />variance was required for the board members. Mr. Maloney indicated that he would like to see the fence 5 <br />feet high and 50% open. Mrs. Hadzima agreed to have the fence 5-foot high with 50% open face. No <br />further comments were made. <br />7. Maloney motioned to grant Rob & Eva Hadzima of 6193 Paisley Drive their amended request for <br />variance (1123.12). This consists of erecting a fence and the inclusion that the fence is no higher then 5 <br />feet ta11 and 50% open face and that the following variance be granted. <br />1) A 33 ft. variance for the fence to be within neighbors front setback (code pernuts 0, applicant shows <br />33 ft.).
