Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. The oath was administered
to Ronald and Konnie Winneman, the home owners, who came forward to review the request. Mr.
Maloney questioned if they could explain what they wanted to do. Mrs. Winneman indicated that they
wanted to make more space in the home to make it A.D.A. because her husband is in a wheelchair. They
are expanding living room space; taking down their current garage and building an attached garage where
they can put exercise equipment for Mr. WirLneman's knees. Mr. Kremzar questioned if the old garage
was still there. Mrs. Winneman indicated that the old garage was still there, they haven't demolished
anything. Mr. Kremzar corrunented that the siding looked new and he thought it looked newer. W.
Winneman commented that they re-sided the garage about 7 years ago. Mr. Kremzar questioned if the
lift is going to move forward. Mrs. Winneman replied that the lift is actually going to stay where it is,
they are going to have a series of four inch steps that will go down into the garage from the main floor.
They have pre-arranged to be able to build a wheel chair ramp inside the perimeter of the garage, and
that's why they are expanding the size. Mr. Maloney questioned if the Building Department told them
they needed a firewall in there because of the location of the garage and the location of the house. Mr.
Conway indicated that it was an attached garage and that would be covered by the building code. Mr.
Maloney indicated that he just wanted them to be aware of that. He had no further problems and called
for a motion. .
J. Konold motioned to grant Ronald Winneman of 23089 Macbeth Ave. his request for variance
(1123.12). Which consists of an addition and an attached garage and the following variances be granted:
1) A special permit to add to a nonconforming building (1165.02).
2) A 6 foot 4 inch variance for combined side lot setbacks (code requires 15 feet, applicant shows 8 ft. 8
inches), section (1135.07 A).
3) A 1 foot variance for left side lot required minimum setback (code requires 5 feet, applicant shows 4
feet), section (1135.07 A).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, 1165.02, 1135.07 A, and 1135.07 A. The motion was
seconded by T. Koberna and was unanimously approved. Variances Granted 6/7/01.
5. 1Vdar eret Tare--Smith; 28114 Wisteria Dr.
Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of adding a three season room.
The following variances are requested:
1) A special permit to add to a non conforming building (1165.02).
2) A 21.5 ft. variance for required rear yard setback (code requires 50 ft., applicant shows 28.5 ft.),
section (1135.08).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1165.02), and (1135.08).
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. As nobody came forward
to review the request, Mr. Maloney indicated that they would call this case again at the end of the
meeting.
6.
