I
A
./
wouldn't be landscaping like that. Mr. Cerny explained all of the different lights and
fixtures. The Planning Commission had asked them to make sure the lot line in the
rear of the building read zero on the photo-metrics sheet, possibly because of the
residents that are located behind the 200 ft. C.E.I. easement behind this building.
Ms. Scliulz questioned if it did read zero at the rear lot line. Mr. Cerny indicated
that it does read zero. They have placed screening trees along the tnzck docks and
along the rear property line there are many pines to help screen any light from
residents. Mr. Zergott questioned if they had white pines at the existing Fieldstone
location. Mr. Hammerschmidt replied that they do. Mr. Zergott questioned how
they were doing because the Soccer Sportsplex had some out front on Lorain and
they all just fried from a11 the salt and pollution. Mr. Hammerschmidt replied that
he thinks they're all doing O.K. Mr. Zergott commented that he would rather see
Austrian pines instead of white pines back there. Mr. Hammerschmidt had no
problem with that. Mr. Cerny indicated that the site is very level, there might be 2
or 3 feet in grade difference throughout the whole site. Mr. Liggett indicated that
on the existing building he really liked how the smaller entrances along the front of
the building compliment the larger entrances on the sides of the building. Mr.
Zergott questioned if there would be any rooftop units. Mr. Cerny indicated that he
is not sure what type of heating system they would be using yet. Ms. Schulz
indicated that if they did end up with rooftop units they should be screened
properly. Mr. Zergott commented that he saw a dumpster rolling around the
parking lot at the existing Fieldstone facility and wondered if that would be the case
here. Mr. Cerny indicated that they show two masonry dumpster enclosures. Mr.
Hammerschmidt indicated that it must have been garbage day for that dumpster to
be out in front of the existing building.
K. Schulz motioned to approve Fieldstone Development at S/L 11 Industrial Pkwy.
with the following recommendations: 1) Replace the white pines with Austrian
pines. 2) Any rooftop units are to be properly screened. 3) The dumpsters are to
be in masonry enclosures and have re-enforced gates. 4) Landscaping occurs as
the project progresses. The motion was seconded by B. Zergott and unanimously
approved. 10'Iotion Carried 5/16/01.
VI. ADJOURNMENT:
Chairman Zergott adjourned the meeting at 6:30pm.
WZnn-
Brian
Asst. Clerk of Commissions, Shaun Solomon
3
