4. A variance for multiple wall signs on a building (code permits 1, applicant shows 7) section,
(1163.27 (a)).
5. A 27.7 square foot variance for excessive square footage of wall signs per building (code permits
192 square ft., applicant shows 219.7 square feet) section (1163.24 (b)).
Note: Above variances are based on Litehouse Pool using the entire building (192' frontage).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1163.24 (b)) and (1163.27 (c) (a)).
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review their request. Mr. Cough,
Manager of the store, and Mr. Bizjak, with Brilliant Electric Sign Company, came forward to be
sworn in and review the request. NIi-. Cough indicted that they have been at their location for 12
years now and they now own the entire building and will be doing some remodeling. They will make
sure that the existing landscaping remains in tact. Mr. Bizjak suggested they would like to make
both signs uniformed i,e. colors the same. The upgrading of the ground sign will bring the sign to a
height, which will be viewable to motor vehicles. Mr. Maloney questioned if the lighthouses on the
walls of the building would be 5-foot high. Mr. Bizjak suggested that the lighthouses would be
much larger then the letters of the wall sign. The ground sign was raised so that it would not
interfere with the existing landscaping and could be seen by motor vehicles.
J. Maloney motioned to grant Litehouse Pools of 25601 Lorain Road their request for variance
(1123.12). Which consists of wall signs and that the following variances be granted:
1. A 1.5-foot variance for 2 wall signs taller than code permits (code permits 4 ft., applicant shows
5.5 ft.), section (1163.27.(c)).
2. A 43-foot square variance for a wall sign larger than code permits (code permits 100-sq. ft.
applicant shows 143 square ft.) section, (1163.27 (c)).
3. A 6-inch variance for a wall sign taller than code permits (code permits 4 ft., applicant shows 4
1/2 ft.) section, (1163.27 (c)).
4. A variance for multiple wall signs on a building (code permits 1, applicant shows 7) section,
(1163.27 (a)). 5. A 27.7 square foot variance for excessive square footage of wall signs per building (code permits
192 sq. ft. applicant shows 219.7 square feet) section (1163.24 (b)).
Note: Above variances are based on Litehouse Fool using the entire building (192' frontage).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1163.24 (b)) and (1163.27 (c) (a)). The motion was
seconded by W. Kremzar and unanimously approved. Variances Granted.
11. Radisson Inn: 25070 Countrv Club Blvd.
Request for variance (1123.12).
