L <br />J. Maloney motioned to grant Jack & Margaret Urban of 5105 Andrus Ave. their request for variance <br />(1123.12). Which consists of a new detached garage and that the following variances are granted <br />with the addition that the Engineering Department approves the drainage system of the garage. <br />1. An 8 foot variance for rear yard setback of accessory structure (code requires 10' applicant shows <br />2'). <br />2. A 3 foot variance for sideyard setback of accessory structure (code requires 5' applicant shows <br />2'). <br />3. A 90 square foot variance for exceeding allowable square footage of an accessory structure (code <br />permits 400-sq. ft. applicant shows 490-sq. ft.) section (1135.02 D2). <br />Note: Applicants stated that the existing shed in rear yard would be removed once new garage is <br />completed. <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections: (1135.02 C2, D2). J. Konold seconded the motion, <br />roll call on the motion; W. Kremzar & T. Kelly "No", J. Konold, N. Sergi and J. Maloney "Yes". <br />Variances Granted. . <br />2). A 16 foot variance for rear yard setback, residence too close to rear property line (code requires <br />50' applicant shows 34'). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1135.08 A). <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review their request. Mr. Cameron, a rep <br />for the Contractor hired by the applicant came forward to be sworn in and address the request. Mr. <br />Cameron indicated that there would be an expansion to the kitchen and family room. The Board <br />members questioned why the owners were not present to answer questions. Mr. Cameron was not <br />sure why the applicants were not present. The contractor is out of town therefore; he is not able to <br />attend the meeting. Mr. Kremzar informed Mr. Cameron that the board would need to know what the <br />hardship is before a variance could be granted. Mr. Rymarczyk suggested that the applicants would <br />like to have an addition to the kitchen and add a sunroom. Mr. Maloney suggested tabling the request <br />until meeting next when the owners could be present to explain their hardship. <br />J. Konold motioned to table Dave & Beth Goebel's request until meeting next when they can be <br />present. W. Kremzar seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. Request Tabled. <br />3). David Hodize: 3040 Claszue Road: WRD -2 <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of an addition to detached garage. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. A 724 square foot variance for a detached garage larger than allowed by code (code pernuts 750 <br />sq. ft. applicant shows 1474 sq. ft.). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1135.02 C1). <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review their request. Mr. Hodge the <br />owner came forward-to be sworn in and address his request. Mr. Hodge indicted that he would like to <br />have a larger garage. The garage will be "L" shaped to be assessable from the existing driveway and <br />look esthetically pleasing. Mr. Kremzar indicated that the proposed garage is about the size of a <br />home. Mr. Hodge suggested that is why it will be L shaped so that it does not look quite so big. His <br />lot is very large and abuts Clague Park. Mr. Hodge indicted that he has two boats that he would like <br />to place in the garage. The siding will match the existing home. Mrs. Sergi questioned if the existing <br />carport is to be removed. Mr. Hodge indicted that the garage would replace the carport. Mr. <br />2
