Note: The Planning Coxnmission addressed tlus proposal at its September 10, 2002 meeting, at which time a work <br />session was requested. The Planning Commission indicated its intention to examine the scope of the rezoning <br />request, its relation to neighboring properties and adherence to the Master Plan. The following individuals have <br />been asked to attend tlus work session: Mr. Bryan O'Malley from the Law Department, a representative from the <br />Building Department, Councilman Dean McKay, Leonard Corsi of Greystone Realty, and Mr. David Margolius <br />an adjacent property owner. <br />SEPTElVIBER 24, 2002 <br />Rockwvnd 5ubdivision; Columbia Rd between Brookpark and Countrv Club Blvd.: <br />Proposal consists of new subdivision consisting of 31 units. Note: Vanances may be required pending Planning <br />Commission's ruling. SENT TO BZA 9/24/02 <br />Speedwav; 26516 Lorain Rd.: <br />Proposal consists of demolishing existing gas station & canopy and constructing new gas station & new canopy <br />and sign package. Note: Planning Commission tabled this request at the 9/10/02 meeting and Variances are <br />required. APPROVED 9/24/02 <br />Great Lakes Piano: 26800-04 Lorain Rd.: <br />The proposal consists of interior and exterior remodeling of an existing building for a new tenant, including a new <br />sign. Note: Planning Commission tabled this request at flie 9/10/02 meeting and Variances are required. <br />APPI20VED 9/24/02 <br />Roclcwvnd Subdivision; Co(umbia Rd. between Brookuark and Countrv Club Blvd.: <br />The proposal is to rezone Permanent Parcel Number 237-19-002 (5.571 acres) from A., Residence, Single to <br />Single Family Cluster District in order to construct a 31-unit single family cluster development. The location of <br />the property is on the east side of Columbia Road, approximately 300 feet south of Brookpark Road, and north of <br />Interstate I-480. A variance will be required for construction of an aboveground detention basin. A variance will <br />be required for construction of an asphalt roadway instead of a concrete roadway. A variance will be required for <br />construction of a proposed roadway width of 23-feet instead of 28-feet back to back of curb. <br />Romp Realtv Lot Snlit PP# 237-01-001,007, 007: <br />The proposal is to split Permanent Parcel Number 237-01-001 into two parcels. 1fie existing parcel is 4.06 acres. <br />The parcel is 1-shaped and fronts on both Lorain Road and flie east side of Columbia Road. The parcel has a <br />Lorain Road address. The new properly line will subdivide an existing building and several variances will be <br />required. The northern 500 feet +/- of flie parcel is zoned Retail Business, General. The southern 150 feet +/- of <br />the parcel is zoned C Residence, Single. New Parcel A will be located in the northeast portion of the existing <br />parcel in the Retail Business, General zone. New parcel B will be located in the southern portion of the existing <br />parcel in both the Retail Business, General zone and the C Residence, Single zone. NOTE: Planning <br />Commission tabled flus proposal at its March 26, 2002 meeting and the applicant tabled themselves at the Apri1 <br />9,2002 Planning Commission meeting. <br />OCTOSEld 8,2002 <br />New North Olmsted Public Librarv; 27403 Lorain Rd.: <br />The proposal consists of new 30,000 square foot Public Library.
