Ms. <br />Radwanski felt that the brick columns would block the view of the building in her opinion as an <br />architect but they would do what Planning Commission requests. Mr. Coin commented that if <br />brick were used they would have to add more protector poles, which are painted safety red. <br />Board members questions; <br />Mr. Koeth questioned what building material the blue strip in the building is. Ms. Radwanski <br />indicated that the blue stripe is a tile, which is part of Speedway's logo colors. Mr. Hreha <br />questioned if there were any issues regarding signs on the site. Ms. Radwanski commented that <br />they eliminated the total number of signs and complied with what Board of Zoning Appeals <br />requested. Mr. Koeth indicated that Planning Commission did not want to see outdoor displays <br />on the site. Mr. Coin suggested that if North Olmsted codes do not allow outdoor displays then <br />they will not have them. However, they may have displays if code allows them. Mr. Koeth <br />reiterated that Planning Commission does not what to see displays at this site. Mr. O'Malley <br />informed the applicants that the Planning Commission is requesting that no displays be placed on <br />the site as part of their approval. He inquired if the previous conditions were imposed i.e. no <br />temporary signs above the dispensers and other changes/conditions that were agreed to. Mr. <br />Koeth indicated that Planning Commission does not want to see displays and it will be part of <br />their recommendation to Council. Ms. Radwanski indicated that the only signs that will be on <br />the site are those Board of Zoning Appeals approved and are shown in the updated plans. Mrs. <br />O'Rourke questioned if the light readings at the lot line read zero. Ms. Radwanski suggested <br />that she did not know, as she did not do lights and suggested Mrs. O'Rourke look at the <br />photometric plan. Mr. Koeth questioned if the dumpster area was brick to follow the <br />Architectural Review Board recommendations. Ms. Radwanski indicated that the dumpster <br />area would in fact be the same brick as the building. Mr. Koeth informed the applicants that <br />Planning Commission would recommend brick columns be used. <br />R. Koeth motioned to approve Speedway Gas Station of 26516 Lorain Road their proposal <br />which consists of demolishing egisting gas station and canopy and constructing new gas <br />station, new canopy, and sign package with additional stipulations. The brick columns will <br />be used and of the same red color and brick material as the building. The red and blue <br />stripes on the site shown in the blueprints are to be allowed. Mrs. O'Rourke included that <br />a material list will be required to be submitted to the Clerk by the applicant. Mr. Koeth <br />The dumpster is to be brick or same material as the building. The Flagpole is to be kept as <br />well. J. Lasko seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. Proposal <br />Approved. Ordinance No. 2002-186; <br />An ordinance providing for the amendment of the zone map of the City of North Olmsted by <br />changing the zoning of an approximately 5.5-acre vacant parcel of land, known as permanent <br />parcel number 237-19-002, located south of Brookpark Road and east of Columbia Road, and the <br />site of the proposed Rockwynd Single Family Residence District to Single Family Cluster <br />District. <br />2
