.?; <br />Board members to review the document and think about some of the issues in it. 5he suggested <br />perl.laps reproducing the document for the bicentennial. VI. OLD BUSINESS: <br />? Letler to residents in Historical District - Mrs. Lord asked if someone would take on the task of <br />wri-ting the letter. Mrs. Lord pointed out it has been on the agenda for some time and a decision <br />needs to be made. Mrs. O'Rourke mentioned the purpose of the letter is to inform people in the <br />historic district that there is no financial gain to living there but there are codes and guidelines that the <br />Commission is asking them to live by to protect the value of the home they live in. It also is to <br />meiition they have to come to a meeting if they want to do anything to tlieir home. Mrs. Lord said it <br />is a(so a way to introduce the Landmarks Commission. Mr: Lang said a letter was sent out by Dave <br />Coiiway of the Building Department to all the residents on Butternut Ridge. Mr. Barker indicated he <br />will get a copy of the letter so they will have sometlung to work with. Mrs. O'Rourke said it will be a <br />veri positive thing and they can let people know the Board is there to help them. Mrs. Lord <br />meirtioned they could perhaps start to promote the plaquing process. She said the Gotlibowski's will, <br />be c;oming forward and there are two properties on Kennedy Ridge that may come to the Board. W. <br />Barker asked if anyone knew the. name of the person at the corner of Butternut and Revere. The <br />hou.se is being re-done and it was mentioned that the owner might be a good person to have on the <br />Bo<<rd since he is a restorer. Mrs. Lord said they wil] look into it. Mrs. Lord asked about resuming <br />their work parties on Saturday mornings. She indicated they meet from 9:00-10:30 but it is not a <br />reqilirement to attend. <br />? Ilpclate on the library - Mr. Barker to report on Mayor's library meeting <br />? Ma.rge Lawson - Mrs. Lord has not had contact with Mrs. Lawson regarding her request to have <br />son?ething named at the library for the Stearns Family. She will talk with the librarian again. <br />Mr. Dubelko reminded the board members to feel fr ee to contact the Law Department if needed. <br />Mrs. Lord pointed out that Mr. Dubelko is the first city official who has stayed for an entire meeting. <br />VII. ADJOLTRNMENT: Mrs. VanAuken motioned to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Mr. <br />-Lang ajid unanimously approved.
