r- . . r <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review their request. Mr. Ellis, with M C <br />Sign company came forward to be sworn in and address the request. Mr. Ellis indicated that the bank <br />would like to have a sign although they are within the Tops building they need recognition. The size <br />of the sign will be slightly larger than the existing word food & pharmacy. Mrs. Sergi questioned <br />why the sign would not be the same size as the food & pharmacy sign. Mr. Ellis indicated that the <br />bank would like to use their standard size sign. Mrs. Sergi suggested that the bank would have <br />recognition if the letters were the same size as the existing wording. Mr. Maloney indicated that the <br />commission would amend the variance so that the letter is to be the same size as the lettering in the <br />existing sign, which reads Food & Pharmacy. He questioned if the building department had received a <br />letter of approval from the property owner. Mr. Rymarczyk indicated that the applicant would need <br />to resubmit plans for the Building Department to review before a permit could be issued. He further <br />advised that the applicant would need to obtain a letter from the property owner stating they approve <br />of the sign request. <br />J. Maloney motion that Charter One Bank of 26662 Brookpark Road Extension their request <br />for variance (1123.12) which consists of a new wall sign. As amended and agreed they be <br />granted the variance to have the Charter One Bank lettering the same size lettering currently on <br />the building reading Food & Pharmacy. Furthermore, a letter must be submitted from the <br />property owner stating they approve of the sign being on the building. W. Kremzar seconded <br />the motion, which was unanimously approved. <br />Berg Carwash 4700 Clague Road: <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of a carwash in a multi-family district. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />l. A use Variance to allow a carwash facility in a multi-family zoning. <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1137.02). <br />Note: #1. The City Engineer requires owner to consolidate the parcels. <br />#2. Applicants tabled themselves on 6/24/03 and Planning Commission recommended Board of <br />Zoning Appeals deny the request for a use variance on 9/09/03. <br />At the request of the applicant Berg Carwash was tabled until the November Board of Zoning <br />Appeals meeting. <br />IV.
