Tlie amendment is that the two existing sheds must be removed within sixty clays of breaking ground.
The motion was seconded by J. IConold and unanimously approved. VARIAIeiCE GRANTED.
4. Linda Kenneclv, 3374 West 231Street, WRD 2
Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of installing a swimming pool in rear yard.
The following variance is requested:
1. A 105 square foot variance for swimming pool (code permits 728 sq. ft., applicant shows 833 sq. ft.)
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1135.02 (d)(2)).
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to be sworn in and review the request. Ms. Kennedy
came forward to address the board. She indicated her yard is 22x80 and she would like to put in an oval
pool that is 12x24 and above ground. Mr. Kelly asked for confirmation on the measurements. Ms. Kennedy
said the yard is 22x80 and that is what Litehouse Pools has indicated. Mrs. Sergi pointed out the numbers
do not add up. The driveway is not a double drive all the way back. The board and applicant reviewed the
plans. Mrs. Sergi said there is no way there is 7 feet between the fence and where the pool would be; it
would not fit with the numbers provided. Ms. Kennedy indicated she measured the width herself and it is
22 feet. Mrs. Serai said that is to the widest part of the driveway. She said even if it was 22 feet across and
the pool was 12, it would not leave her 11 feet. The drawing is not right. Ms. Kennedy said she did not do
the drawing. Mr. Kelly said they do not know then what they are looking at. Mr. Kelly asked if they should
get the proper drawing before voting. Mr. Rymarczyk reviewed the figures with the board members. Mr.
Konold asked if the building department has objections to the proposal. Mr. Rymarczyk said there are no
objections. He said they are here for the square foot variance. Mr. Kremzar asked the applicant if she has a
secondary plan for a smaller pool. Ms. Kennedy said a 12 foot round pool is the smallest she could go with.
That is why she picked the oval, because the lawn is deep. It would seem to fit better.
W. Kremzar made a motion to grant Linda Kennecfy, 3374 VVest 231St St., the request for variance
which consists of installing a swimming pool in rear yard and that the following variance be granted:
1. A 105 square foot variance for swimming pool (code permits 728 sq. ft., applicant shows 833 sq.
ft.)
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1135.02 (d)(2)).
The motion was seconded by T. Kelly. Roll call on the motion: J. Konold, T. Kelly, and J. Maloney -
Yes, W. Kremzar, and N. Serga - No. VARIANCE GRANTED.
5. 1!'Iai-v JericBrennan, 25044 Lorain Rd., WRD 1
Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of parking for new automotive repair shop.
The following variance is requested:
1. A 1 space variance for nuinber of car parking (code requires 9, applicant shows 8).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1161.05 (v)).
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to be sworn in and review the request. Ms. Mary
Jeric, Mr. Mike Jeric, and Mr. Terry Brennan came forward. Mr. Jeric explained they want turn the site into
an autoinotive repair center. There would be three large bays. Mr. Jeric reviewed the plan with the board
members. He said the code requires them to have 9 parking spaces but they came up with 8. He then
reviewed some statistics on the average number of cars that would come in. Mr. Kremzar asked if it is just
mechanical work that would be done. Mr. Jeric said that is correct. Mr. Kremzar asked if they will improve
the apron. Mr. Jeric indicated they will do that. Mr. Kremzar asked about signage. Mr. Jeric indicated
there is a sign there now for the body shop behind them but he has not gotten to his signage needs yet. Mr.
Maloney indicated the board received a letter from Councilman Duane Limpert. He read the letter into the
records (see attached). Mr. Maloney asked if there were any comments on Mr. Limpert's letter. Mr. Jeric
said there will be concrete barriers by the parking and the lot will be well defined with landscaping. Mr.
Brennan indicated he is representing his mother, the owner of the property. Mrs. Sergi asked for
clarification on where Mr. Limpert is suggesting the landscaping. Mr. Brennan said he would say it should
be closer to the sidewalk area. Mrs. Jeric said that adding landscaping would not be a problem. There was
