Robert Party, 27150 Butternut Ridge Road - Resident is seeking a permit for siding
Mr. Lang pointed out the application indicates the permit is for siding and that is not accurate. Mrs. Parry
came forward to address the board and clarify the request. Mr. Barker referred to the pictures that were
submitted. Mrs. Parry indicated the soffits will remain as they are now, but will be a vinyl material so they
do not have to paint. Mr. Lang asked if the soffit will come straight out or come out at an angle once it is
covered. Mrs. Parry said it will come out at an angle directly back to the top of the house. Mr. Lang asked
for confirmation that the fascia will be aluminum of the same color. Mrs. Parry said she believes it will be
vinyl and will be the same color as the house now. Mr. Corell asked if Mrs. Parry knows what is
underneath the siding now. Mrs. Parry said she believes it is clapboard.
P. Barker made a motion to grant a certificate of appropriateness to install new vinyl fascin, soffit,
gutters, and shutters in colors compatible with existing colors. The motion was seconded by M.
Davis and unanimously approved.
2. Mr. & Mrs Tonv Mancuso 27260 Butternut Ridge Road - Resident is seeking a permit for an addition
Mr. and Mrs. Mancuso came forward to present their plans. Mr. Mancuso pointed out the only thing they
are actually doing is extending the roofline. They are not adding any structure to the house. The pitch of
the roof will be changed. Mr. Corell asked if they are opening it up for a storage area. An associate of the
Mancuso's indicated there will be a dormer going out on the front and it will match the front of the house.
Mr. Mancuso said it will be livable area. There was further discussion of the pitch of the addition in
relation to the house. Mr. Lang said it would be approximately a one-story addition where the current
garage roof will extend up to the existing roofline of the house. It will extend out over the garage. Mr.
Mancuso confirmed that. Mr. Lang said on the front facing Butternut Ridge there will be a dormer
centered on the additional roof and then the whole addition will take up the top of the garage. Several
different conversations took place during the review of the plans. Mr. Barker said there are already three
dormers. They have used stone, brick, and siding. He asked what color the siding will be with this
addition. W. Mancuso said one is red, one is white, but he is more than willing to make them uniform.
W. Lang asked if there will be any additional brick anywhere on the addition, such as a continuation up
