NEW BUSIlloTTESS
Fiber Tower, 25151 Brookpark Road:
Proposal consists of the addition of an antennae tower on high rise.
Mr. Anthony Amine, the agent came forward and said that Fiber Tower has been retained by
AT&T Wireless. AT&T Wireless currently uses the local exchange carrier, which is SBC to
provide telephone service to various communications; however, they are engaging Fiber Tower
to provide an alternate transport to wireless carriers throughout Cleveland. Mr. Amine said
they are not a wireless carrier; they are more of a utility company application. They are
optimistic that they can provide more reliable telephone service to the cell sites. They are
proposing to mount four flush mounted microwave dishes on an existing penthouse facility.
They will be color coded to blend in with the existing facility. The equipment will be placed in
an existing suite and will not be visible to the exterior. Although Mr. Crook was not present at
the meeting, Director Wenger read the following comments he submitted: He had said that he
did not feel adding four "microwave dishes" to be an architectural issue. It was indicated that if
the applicant had submitted photos of the dish, it would have helped out and those were
submitted at this evening's meeting. He had no issues with the recommendation of the proposal
as long as there were not residential or environmental issues.
