J. Nader moved to approve the proposal as submitted; B. Zergott seconded the motion <br />which was unanimously approved. <br />Assistant Building Commissioner T. Rymarczyk informed the applicant that the Building <br />Commissioner may require a variance and this would need to be applied for prior to the next <br />Planning Commission meeting. <br />Turf Specialist Inc., 31407 Braclley Road: <br />Proposal consists of a proposed pole building to be used as an addition to a storage shed for <br />storage of equipment. <br />Kerry McFarland, who is in the lawn care business, desires to install a pole barn on the back of <br />the property. The offices are in a house on the front of the property. Due to theft being a <br />problem, he wants to consolidate and store all equipment into one location. The pole barn will <br />have beige vinyl siding with white doors and a dark green roof color. The beige siding color will <br />match the house currently on the property. The house has brown trim. Chairman Zergott asked <br />if the roof could be a brown metal type and recommended that would better match the house, <br />rather than the green roo£ Mr. McFarland agreed that a brown roof may be a better choice. Ms. <br />Nader inquired about the height of the building. The applicant stated it is slightly less than 20'. <br />The applicant also plans to plant six to seven pine trees, approximately 6-7' in the back for <br />shielding. Mr. Zergott asked if additional landscaping could also be added on the north side <br />which faces Fortney & Weygand Company. The applicant stated that he could add white pines <br />along the eastern front of property and near the creek in the front to shield from any future <br />development that will occur. Assistant Building Commission said variances are required for <br />lighting and driveway width. On the east side of the parking lot pole lighting will be placed on <br />30" concrete base that will be reflected downward on the door for security purposes. The <br />applicant stated that there are no residential areas nearby that would be affected by the lights. <br />Assistant Building Commissioner asked the applicant if they could submit new revised <br />photometric drawings by Friday and indicated that the lights need to be full cut ofF. The <br />applicant said they would. He also informed the applicant that he needs a variance for the 18' <br />wide driveway. <br />J. Nader moved to approve the plans with the following changes: In lieu of the junipers <br />shown on the north east side of the new storage building, add quantity of six or <br />seven 6'-7' tall white pines. Fill in around the detention area with trees as needed for <br />possible future development, provide a a-evised photometric drawing showing light poles <br />indicating a 30" concrete base along with full cut off fixture. Install a brown colored roof <br />in lieu of green roof. <br />B. Zergott secondecl the motion, which was unanimously approved. <br />Rosati's Custard (former Blimqie's): <br />Proposal consists of minor exterior modifications and site improvement. <br />Bob Bajko, architect for Hengst Streff Bajko and Jim Priscak, owner of Rosati's came forward <br />and informed the committee that the building is too small to accommodate the space needed for <br />2
