Sunnvside Saturn; (PP# 232-25-010,033 & 232-26-001) 27000 Lorain Road(WR13 1
Proposal consists of site lighting.
Note: variances are required.
Chairman Zergott called all interested parties forward to review their proposal. Mr. Frye, with Swuiyside
Satum and Mr. Stoyanov the architect came forward to review the plans.
Applicants would like to have a new lighting plan for the site. They need to address security and display or
visibility issues that currently exist. As neither they nor the neighboring lot have lights along the east side of
their site there is a darkened area which creates security problems for both lots. They would like to be
allowed to have tl-u-ee (3) 20-foot light poles, three (3) light fixtures with 400-watt bulbs, which will include
cutoffs. They are increasing the number of poles by one, lowering the height of the poles, but maintaining
total wattage of light for the site as the lights are metal halide shoebox fixtures with full cutoff to have no
glare. The average light readings for the east area are 3.7. The light pole color is bronze to match existing
poles. The Building Department reviewed that the concrete bases require a variance as code requires them
to be 30-inches high. The applicants have a hotspot foot candle area showing 28.4 foot and code offly
allows 5-foot candles maximum. Mr. Rymarczyk strongly recommended the applicant's address properly
parking the cars on the site before they go before Planning Commission. Mr. Zergott indicated that the wall
system at the front of the site was placed backwards as the construction sides of the blocks are facing Loraui
Road. Applicants need to either add mounds and landscaping or replace the wall. Mr. Frye indicated that
they would address the wall.
B.
