Mrs. Martindale questioned if Mr. Garland could still get the men's clubs to build a 8-foot panels for <br />the artwork. She also suggested having paintings of each of the caricatures in each window in the <br />room. Mr. Thompson was not sure as the windows were so large, it was suggested using butcher <br />paper. Mrs. Beach suggested talking to the school to fmd out about using their panels or find out <br />were they get theirs from. Discussion placing white lights on the roof of old town hall and a sign on <br />the building prior to the show took place. Mr. Garland he would look into that. He would like to get <br />the Westlife or Sun Harold to put a story together to promote the play and help us get additional help <br />by April meeting. Mrs. Martindale reviewed that they usually produce their own programs with bio's <br />on each actor. Mrs. Beach thou;ht her daughter would be willing to help with programs. Discussion <br />of possible helpers took place; Mrs. Martindale indicated that she would e-mail some numbers to Mrs. <br />App. Discussion of music was brought up and the board voiced that they would be nice to have a <br />flutist at the show. The Secretary indicated that she knew a high school flutist who plays with the <br />Cleveland Youth Orchestra and she would talk to her. If the student is interested she will send her <br />contact information to Mrs. Martindale so they can speak. A few of the members were aware of <br />Vanessa's skills and welcomed the suggestion. Handing out keepsakes took place for the play. <br />IV <br />V <br />vi. <br />vi. <br />The corrunission again discussed membership in the commission as well as fees. Thought of selling <br />memberships at the play took place. The clerk thought the commission should first speak to the <br />Finance Director. She will invite her to the April Meeting. The clerk will also invite Mike form the <br />data processing office so the commission can discuss web page and cable channel use. The clerk was <br />asked if she could make color copies and other copies for the commission. The clerk indicated that <br />the City has a color copier and she could assist the commission by copying large quantities for them <br />of color or black and wlutes. However she advised that the quality of paper is not the highest of <br />quality. The commission will provide the paper. It was decided that at the May meeting the <br />committee heads will each submit their final plans. <br />Mrs. Martindale reviewed her discussion with Mr. McKay about money from library being used for <br />Cultural Activities Commission activities and he indicated that he would have to back to her but <br />thought that the money had already been set aside for a specific use. Mrs. App voiced that she spoke <br />to a Councilperson and felt the conversation went nowhere. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />COMMUr]ICATIONS : <br />1. Memo from Council President T. O'Grady regarding commissions report <br />The commission indicated that they received a response from their second release and there have been <br />no other responses. Mrs. App reviewed that she met the new City Planner and thought she was very <br />well spoken and seemed quite intelligent. She would like to invite the City Planner to join their <br />Commission. The clerk sug,gested that currently Ms. Wenger's schedule for attending and holding <br />meetings was quite extensive but if invited to attend occasional meetings she could probably adjust <br />her schedule. The clerk also indicated that Mark Yager a member of Planning Commission requested <br />a copy of the Commission report to read. The commission asked that the clerk provide Mr. Yager <br />with all reports, which had been released thus far. <br />CONIMIZTEE REPORTS: <br />Each member will report the status of his or her committee at next months meeting. <br />ADJOURNIVENT: <br />B.
