i
? Which is in violation of 90-125, Section (1163.27C) and (1163.27 A).
Note: Variance 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 were added 11/4/04 due to omission on original application.
Acting Chairman Kremzar called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr.
Harris with Brilliant Electric Sign came forward to be sworn in and review the request. Mr.
Conway reviewed that the applicant did not state on the application the additional letters on
the building. Therefore they were not part of the write-up until today. Mr. Harris indicated
that the signage is in scale to the size of the building. They would like to have an illuminated
"W" on the mechanical room. The two painted "W's" on the building is for visibility during
the day. They would like to have visibility from 1480 at night and the "W" on the penthouse
will provide that. The board voiced a concern that the illuminated "W" would shine onto
neighboring property. Mr. O'Malley voiced that the board should find out if there is any
conflicts with the electrical sign on the same structure as the proposed flush mounted
antennas just approved by Planning Commission. Mr. Conway suggested the board send the
proposal to the Architectural Review board for their comments. The board would like to
have the owner present to address the concerns of the antennas. They will send the proposed
sign package to the Architectural Review Board for their comments and are requesting the
owners of the apartment complex attend the next meeting to address matters that the sign
company can not.
W. Kremzar moved to table Westbury Apts. and send them to the Architectural Review
board for comments and return with ovvner to next meeting to address possible issues
with signage and antennas. M. Diver seconded the motion which was unanimously
approved.
IV. ADJOURNMENT:
Acting Chairman Kremzar adjourned the meeting at 8:40 p.m.
illiam
Date
Donna Rote, Clerlc of Commissions
4
