Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. Moses, <br />with Avis and Mr. Cave, with Mentor Signs, each came forward to be sworn in and review <br />the request. The owners would like a cabinet signs on the east side of the Sears building <br />facing Great Northern Blvd and a canopy sign over the man door on the north side of the <br />building. The rental area or subleasing area will be inside the 5ears Automotive Center. <br />They are allowed to have 10 parking spaces at the site and the cars will be rotated daily. <br />The board asked if the automotive center was leaving or they were subleasing. The <br />applicant indicated he was subleasing space from Sears. The cleaning of the cars will be <br />done inside the building. The signs will be lit with florescent lights within the signs. <br />W. Krerr?zar moved to grant Sears Roebuclc/Avis of 500 Great Northern B1vd. their <br />request for variance (1123.12), which consists of new signs for Avis and that the <br />following variances are granted: <br />1. A vareance for (2) wall signs on a building unit, (see note: #1), (code permits 0, <br />applicant shows 2), section (1163.27 (A)). <br />2. A variance for total wall sign on a building unit, (see not #2), (code permits 1, <br />applicant shows 7), section (1163.27 (A)). <br />3. A variance for a canopy sign on a building unit, (see note #1), (code permits 0, <br />applicant shows 1), section (1163.28 (C)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1163.27 (A)) and (1163.25 (C)). J. <br />Maloney seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. <br />IV.
