Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to be sworn in and review the request. Mr. <br />Miller, with Archer Signs, came forward to be sworn in and review the request. The applicant <br />reviewed that Second National Bank merged with Sky Bank and they would like to replace the signs <br />to reflect the proper bank name. The Board questioned why the entrance sign was so large as it faces <br />the road. The applicant suggested that the size of the sign was chosen to balance the esthetics of the <br />front of the building. However, he could reduce the size of the sign if the board wished. Board <br />members felt that the sign over the ATM machine was not needed. The applicant agreed to <br />eliminate the sign over the ATM machine and reduce the wall sign to 40' x 19'. <br />J. Maloney motion to grant Visconsi Comp. of 26642 Brookpark Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of new signage and the following variances are granted as <br />amended: <br />1. A 380.12 square foot variance for total signage on a building, (code permits 353 sq. ft. and <br />applicant shows 737.55 sq. ft.), section (1163.24 (B)). <br />2. A variance for a sign on a canopy not in conjunction with a building entrance, (code does <br />not allow, applicant shows 1), section (1163.28 (A)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord..90-125 sections (1163.24 (c)), (1163.24 (B)) and (1163.28 (A)). N. <br />Sergi seconded the notion, which was unanimously approved. Variance granted as amended. <br />Note: Applicant is to submit new development plans to the Building Departrnent following the <br />amendments. <br />The following is the corrected Visconsi motion which was moved into the body of the June 3, <br />2004 minutes at the July 7, 2004 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting <br />W. Kremzar moved to amend the June 3, 2004 Board of Zoning Appeals minutes for Visconsi <br />Comp of 26642 Brookpark Road to read as follows;. The proposal consists of a new development. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 50,238 square foot variance for building massing of retail "A", (code permits 73,162 sq. ft. <br />and applicant shows 123,400 sq. ft.), section (1149.041 (i)). <br />2. A 25.8% variance for retail occupying more than 50% of gross floor area, (code permits 50% <br />and applicant shows 75.8%), section (1149.04 (j)). <br />3. A 442 car parking space variance for off street parking spaces, (code requires 1476, and <br />applicant shows 1034), section (1161.05 (w)). <br />4. A 36 foot variance for front yard setback of building, (code requires 100 ft. and applicant shows <br />64 ft.), section (1141.06). <br />5. A variance for yard screening & landscaping for buildings B, C, & D, (code requires 10% and <br />applicant shows none), section (1141.07 (c)). <br />6.
