W. Kremzar moved to table Nissan of 28500 Lorain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12), which consists of new signage until meeting next. N. Sergi seconded the motion <br />which was unanimously approved. Tabled <br />6). Cort Furniture; 4698 Great Northern Blvd.: (WRD 4) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of erecting a tent approximately 40' x 75' <br />deep for a temporary sale from 6/10/04 through 6/13/04 and 9/9/04 through 9/12/04. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. A variance for 15 car parking space reduction. <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1161.05 w). <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. Cristino, <br />the Manager of Cort Furniture came forward to be sworn in and review the request. The <br />board had no objections to the request for a temporary tent. <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Court Furniture of 4698 Great Northern Blvd. their <br />request for variance (1123.12), which consists of erecting a tent approximately 40' x 75' <br />deep for a temporary sale from 6/10/04 through 6/13/04 and 9/9/04 through 9/12/04 and <br />that the following variance is granted: <br />1. A variance for 15 car parking space reduction. <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1161.05 w). T. Kelly seconded the motion, <br />which was unanimously approved. <br />7). Sunoco Gas; 24584 Lorain Road: (WRD 2) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of additional wall signs on building. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 93.3 square foot variance for total lot signage directed at Lorain Road (#1)), code permits 145.8 <br />sq. ft., applicant shows 239.1 sq. ft.), section (1163.24 A). <br />2. A 200 square foot variance for tota,l signage on a building (#2)), code permits 71.2 sq. ft., applicant <br />shows 271.2 sq. ft.), section (1163.24 B). <br />3. A 24.3 square foot variance for total lot signage directed at Columbia Road (0)), code permits <br />118.8 sq. ft, applicant shows 143,1 sq. ft.), section (1163.24 A). <br />NOTE: #1. Includes one canopy sign directed at Lorain Road (=19.68 sq. ft.), as well as <br />'/z of a ground sign directed at Lorain Road (=35.8 sq. ft.), and includes proposed wall sign directed at <br />Lorain Road (=183.6 sq. ft.). <br />#2. Includes both proposed wall signs, (=183.6 sq. ft at Lorain &=87.6 sq. ft. at Columbia Road). <br />#3. Includes one canopy sign directed at Columbia (=19.68 sq. ft.), also includes '/2 of existing ground <br />sign directed at Columbia Road (=35.8 sq. ft.), and includes proposed wall sign directed at Columbia <br />Road (=87.6 sq. ft.). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1163.24 A), (1163.24 B), and (1163.24 A). <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mrs. Stanvro <br />with Archer Signs and Mr. Archer Owner of Archer Signs each came forward to be sworn in <br />and review the request. The applicants showed pictures to the board members of what the site <br />would look like with the canopy. The owners are bringing their Sunoco Station in compliance <br />to the National image. <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Sunoco Gas of 24584 Lorain Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of additional wall signs on the building and that the <br />- following variances are granted: <br />1. A 93.3 square foot variance for total lot signage directed at Lorain Road (0)), code permits <br />145.8 sq. ft., applicant shows 239.1 sq. ft.), section (1163.24 A). <br />4
