7. Sunnvside Saturn; (PP# 232-25-010,033 & 232-26-001), 27000 Lorain Road;(WRD 1) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of additional srte lighting. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 6 inch plus or minus variance for height of concrete bases, (code requires 30", applicant shows 24" + <br />), section (1161.12 (F)). <br />2. A 1.4 foot candle variance for illumination level, (code permits 5, applicant shows 6.4), section (1161.12 <br />0). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1161.12 (F) and (1161.12 0). <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. Frye, the owner came <br />forward to be sworn in and review the request. Mr. Frye reviewed that they wish to replace the existing <br />lights and add additional lights due to security problems they have been experiencing. Due to maturing <br />landscaping there are areas on the site, which are no longer secure. The height of the poles will be to code <br />and they would like to have the new pole base be allowed to match the existing bases of the other poles on <br />the lot. Commercial lots surround the area and the new configuration will distribute the lighting on the lot <br />to address the security issues and will minimally effect Toys R Us's parking lot. Building Commissioner <br />had no objections to the request. <br />W. Kings Path Condominium; (PP# 236-02-003), 25735 Lorain Road: (WRD4) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of new ground sign. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. An 18 foot variance for sideyard setback, (code requires 20 ft., applicant shows 2 ft.). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1163.26 (B)). <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review their request. Ms. Kalbouridis the <br />Property Manager, Mrs. Vinton, President of the Association, and Mr. Sapp, Vice President of the <br />Association each came forward to be sworn in and review the request. Mrs. Kalbouridis reviewed that the <br />condition of the sign requires a lot of maintenance and they would like to replace and place the sign in a <br />more visible area. Currently traffic traveling east or west can not see the sign until they pass the sign. They <br />would like to place the sign 10-feet closer and angled for clearer visibility. The Building Commissioner <br />reviewed that the lot is awkward and the variance is for sideyard setback only. No matter where the sign is <br />placed on the site, it will require a sideyard variance ur?less it is placed in the middle of the driveway. <br />N. An 18 foot variance for sideyard setback, (code requires 20 ft.,, applicant shows 2 ft). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1163.26 (B)). W. A 17-foot variance for new ground sign (location from side P/L), (code requires 20' applicant shows 3') <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section 1163.26 (B). <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. Demman, with the Sign <br />Company came forward to be swom in and review the request. Mr. Denman reviewed the existing sign is <br />of poor quality and faded.
