<br />North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />January 10, 1996 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Attendance: Mike Dolansky <br /> Dave Gardner <br /> Claire Hayes <br /> Carolyn Kasler <br /> Diane Koster Marquard <br /> Richard Scott <br /> Janet Saringer <br /> <br />Absent: Robert Kasler <br /> Todd Morgan <br /> <br />Visitors: None <br /> <br />Dave Gardner called the meeting to order. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as <br />mailed. <br /> <br />Report of the Recreation Commissioner <br /> <br />Mr. Dolansky sent Paul Miller a letter on behalf of the Commission thanking him for acting as <br />Council Representative and will present him with a plaque recognizing his service to the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />He then presented an end of year Pay Per Period report showing a 4.1% overall change from <br />1994. Some factors which impacted the change were retroactive part-time wage increases as well <br />as Union employee raises and the special rink renovation project requiring excessive overtime <br />hours. Mr. Gardner asked if we had a comparison of the number of full-time employees from <br />previous years to the present time. Mr. Dolansky stated that the number has been very similar for <br />a number of years except for when the parks were added to the overall operations a number of <br />years ago. <br /> <br />In view of recent incidents in homes and other commercial properties relating to carbon monoxide <br />levels Mr. Dolansky has met with the Fire Department. They have concluded that in a building of <br />this size and construction this is not a major concern and the Fire Officials would not recommend <br />installation of monitors at this time.
